On September 13, 2024, Uphold published a striking message on X, asking the XRP army what they would do <a href="https://timestabloid.com/this-top-exchange-doubles-down-on-1000-xrp-price-community-reacts/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">if XRP hit $1,000</a>.
On September 13, 2025, exactly one year after the post, the exchange posed the same question to the community, writing, “One more time… XRP just hit $1,000. What’s your next move?”
The post drew the attention of XRP’s very active community, accruing thousands of views, reposts, and responses.

The reactions to Uphold’s post reflected a wide spectrum of priorities among XRP enthusiasts. Some revealed immediate plans to liquidate their holdings, with one commenter <a href="https://x.com/KillaDent/status/1966884169302114606?t=Pr60m0AVZMWXvxcucx0dBQ&amp;s=19" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">stating</a> that he would clean out his drawers.
Prominent analysts have constantly advised investors to have <a href="https://timestabloid.com/analyst-extends-xrp-price-target-to-44-urges-holders-to-take-profit/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">profit-taking strategies</a>, as XRP is volatile, like many other cryptocurrencies.
Others <a href="https://x.com/therealktzus/status/1966892615644725513?t=ffFABrqYRVXimKorHC0RMA&amp;s=19" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">highlighted</a> more practical matters, such as making legal and financial structures available, including trusts and LLCs. Several other users <a href="https://x.com/BenJsadd/status/1966894581737492713?t=QJEnbzMTLIf3RCNMuurLcw&amp;s=19" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">desire</a> to buy more XRP even at that price, expressing concern about missing out.
Many XRP holders are long-term investors for the asset’s value and place in global finance. While $1,000 is a lofty target, many believe the asset can do more, and prefer to employ passive income strategies, such as <a href="https://timestabloid.com/finance-expert-to-xrp-holders-never-sell-your-xrp-do-this-instead/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">lending tokens to institutions and banks</a>.
Other long-term strategies also appeared in the replies. Some community members <a href="https://x.com/okfine1234/status/1966891701223735318?t=SeMWIVG-QXAL1E6a6K_1rg&amp;s=19" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">mentioned</a> retirement plans, as such would allow them to step back from daily work commitments.
One user <a href="https://x.com/hoozyadatty/status/1966892695244468362?t=42FyE94dvXHcR8UZH27wYQ&amp;s=19" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">emphasized</a> lifestyle changes, mentioning family outings and celebrations at local venues, as well as the ability to enjoy leisure without financial strain.

More serious comments also emerged. A user <a href="https://x.com/daniel1turcu/status/1966896801950429365?t=ijEyFUvFheFXFVcvdhgCaw&amp;s=19" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">spoke</a> about paying taxes and donating a substantial amount. Another <a href="https://x.com/ThePaulOrtiz/status/1966888091949690944?t=-EU2uKFvlRbMGC8Ba66Fhg&amp;s=19" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">said</a> he would hold his position until XRP achieved an <a href="https://timestabloid.com/pundit-calls-10000-xrp-price-for-2029-in-reaction-to-this-ripple-statement/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">even higher target of $10,000</a>, illustrating a long-term and highly optimistic perspective.
<h2 id="strong-xrp-s-market-context-strong">XRP’s Market Context</h2>
While Uphold’s post functioned as a hypothetical, it resonated because of XRP’s long-standing role in discussions about the <a href="https://timestabloid.com/panel-of-experts-xrp-will-be-the-base-layer-for-global-payments/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">future of global payments</a>. Over the past month, XRP has experienced volatility. After a decline in late August, the asset <a href="https://timestabloid.com/heres-why-xrp-is-rising-today/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">rebounded strongly in September</a>, regaining key levels and reigniting optimism among holders.
The digital asset is currently trading at $3.12. All eyes are now set on its all-time high of $3.65, as surpassing this level could push the asset toward higher levels, setting it on the path toward that <a href="https://timestabloid.com/finance-expert-shares-why-he-believes-xrp-could-reach-1000-by-this-timeline/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">long-term goal of $1,000</a>.
