The past week has delivered several major developments across the crypto industry—from institutional inflows to ecosystem-specific upgrades. While much of the news impacts the broader market, many of these shifts have direct implications for Terra Classic ($LUNC), $USTC, and the Cosmos ecosystem.
Here’s a breakdown of the most important updates LUNC holders should be watching.

1. Bitcoin ETFs Turn Positive Again

Institutional flows into U.S.-listed Bitcoin ETFs picked up momentum this week, with BlackRock and Fidelity recording strong inflows. Bitcoin has stabilized above $110,000, regaining investor confidence after weeks of volatility.
Why it matters for LUNC: A bullish Bitcoin often lifts sentiment across the altcoin market. Strong liquidity and institutional confidence create favorable conditions for assets like LUNC to gain traction.

2. Binance Continues LUNC Burns

Binance confirmed its next scheduled $LUNC burn on October 1, 2025. To date, the exchange has destroyed more than 73 billion LUNC, making Terra Classic one of only two non-native tokens (alongside BNB) with an ongoing Binance-supported burn program.
Why it matters for LUNC: While the burns represent a small percentage of total supply, they serve as a deflationary mechanism and a strong show of long-term support from one of crypto’s largest exchanges.

3. Orbit Labs Upgrade Coming

On September 4, 2025, Terra Classic’s core codebase will align fully with the Cosmos SDK. This milestone unlocks:

Full compatibility with the Cosmos ecosystem

Easier integration for developers

A stronger foundation for Market Module 2.0 and potential $USTC repeg efforts

Why it matters for LUNC: The upgrade modernizes Terra Classic’s infrastructure, making it more competitive and attractive for cross-chain DeFi applications.

4. Selenium Protocol Launch

The community is preparing for the launch of Selenium Protocol, a next-gen platform designed to bring real-world asset (RWA) trading back to Terra Classic. Think of it as a “Mirror Protocol 2.0,” with updated mechanics and stronger security.
Why it matters for LUNC: RWAs are one of the fastest-growing narratives in crypto. By positioning itself within this trend, Terra Classic increases utility for $LUNC and $USTC while attracting new users.

5. $USTD: A New Yield-Bearing Stablecoin

Alongside these developments, governance discussions have surfaced around $USTD, a decentralized, fully automated, yield-bearing stablecoin designed for Terra Classic.
Unlike the old $USTC, $USTD:

Pays yield directly to wallets, without lockups

Uses real yield from LP positions (not unsustainable fixed rates)

Starts with $USDC/$USDT reserves before moving into decentralized assets

Funds arbitrage via protocol revenue instead of burdening users

Why it matters for LUNC: If successful, $USTD could repair Terra Classic’s reputation in stablecoin innovation and provide sustainable DeFi flows back into the ecosystem.

Conclusion: Why September 2025 Matters

All signs point toward September being a pivotal month for Terra Classic:

Binance burns continue to shrink supply

Orbit Labs upgrade strengthens infrastructure

Selenium Protocol expands real-world use cases

$USTD could reintroduce a sustainable stablecoin model

Together, these developments could mark the start of a new chapter for $LUNC and its community.
The question now is: Are you positioned for the next wave of Terra Classic adoption?
