Axie Infinity

Axie Infinity price holds $2.20–$2.30 support, forming a base for potential breakout continuation.

Breakout above resistance may push AXS toward $2.65, $3.15, $3.70, and $4.60.

RSI and volume activity suggest institutional accumulation near the breakout zone.

Axie Infinity (AXS) is approaching a crucial chart pattern resolution as traders monitor a descending triangle formation. Buyers are defending support strongly, while resistance tests are increasing, pointing to a possible breakout in the coming sessions.

Testing Resistance After Months of Compression

The price of Axie Infinity is $2.38,as of the time of writing, recording a 1.06% daily increase and a 4.12% weekly rise. Trading volume in the past 24 hours stood at $24,040,834, suggesting that liquidity remains consistent during this phase of pattern compression.

On the daily timeframe, AXS has been locked inside a descending triangle structure since early 2023. Each attempt to move higher has been capped by descending resistance, while the $2.20–$2.30 zone has repeatedly provided reliable support. This prolonged compression is now entering a decisive phase.

A recent observation from analyst Jonathan Carter highlighted the breakout attempt. He stated that AXS is testing the upper resistance, with accumulation signs pointing to institutional activity around the breakout area.

Signs of Accumulation Near Key Levels

The chart shows that every approach toward the $2.20–$2.30 zone has attracted new demand, with stronger hands stepping in to buy. This repeated defense has created a sturdy base that is now being tested by fresh attempts at resistance.

Momentum indicators are supporting this outlook. The RSI has trended higher while price movement stayed relatively flat, suggesting a divergence often linked to strengthening momentum. At the same time, volume spikes during resistance tests imply active participation from larger market players.

These combined factors suggest that buyers are positioning ahead of a possible breakout. Sustained trading above resistance could confirm the shift from accumulation to breakout continuation.

Upside Targets and Risk Levels

Provided that AXS breaks out above the resistance of the falling price, the levels of $2.65, $3.15, $3.70 and $4.60 present a reasonable level. Every level is linked to areas of resistance throughout history, forming distinct checkpoints that traders can follow.

Carter’s analysis noted that this breakout, if confirmed, could unlock strong continuation toward these levels. Such targets provide traders with structured opportunities for scaling or adjusting positions based on momentum strength.

However, the setup remains vulnerable to false breakouts. If price fails to close decisively above resistance, AXS could retrace toward its long-established support zone. A breakdown below $2.20 would invalidate the bullish case and return the asset into deeper consolidation.
