<p>XRP is starting the new week in a tight spot. Right now, <a href="https://captainaltcoin.com/heres-how-xrp-price-could-hit-637-if-bitcoin-reaches-a-500-trillion-market-cap/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">XRP price is trading around $2.84, with bulls and bears battling</a> for control around a key support zone.</p><p>After peaking near $3.66 in late August, XRP has been sliding lower and is now stuck in a sideways range. The big question for traders is whether $2.80-$2.85 can hold, or if another drop is on the way.</p><h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="strong-what-we-got-right-yesterday-strong"><strong>What We Got Right Yesterday</strong></h2><p><a href="https://captainaltcoin.com/xrp-price-prediction-for-today-september-2/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">In yesterday’s prediction we pointed out how important the $2.75-$2.80</a> area was. We said that if the <a class="wpil_keyword_link" href="https://captainaltcoin.com/ripple-xrp-price-prediction/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">XRP</a> price slipped under that level, it could quickly head toward $2.50.</p><p>So far, buyers have managed to keep XRP above $2.84, which means the price is still bouncing between $2.85 and $3.10. No breakout yet, and volume is still pretty thin, a sign the market hasn’t picked a clear direction.</p><p>We also mentioned that a strong push above $3.20 with heavy volume would be needed to unlock bigger gains toward $3.35 or even $3.66. That hasn’t happened yet, so the market remains in wait-and-see mode.</p><h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="strong-what-the-xrp-chart-is-showing-strong"><strong>What the XRP Chart Is Showing</strong></h2><p>Looking at the daily chart, XRP has been in a downtrend since topping out at $3.66. Today it’s around 570M, which shows fewer traders are chasing moves.</p><p>Open interest is holding steady, meaning traders are still active but not going all-in. Long positions keep slipping, while shorts are stacked up higher at over $6.39B. That leaves the short-term bias leaning toward the bears.</p><p>Put together, it’s a cautious market. Sellers still have the edge, but buyers are putting up a fight at $2.80.</p><h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="strong-xrp-price-short-term-outlook-for-today-september-3-strong"><strong>XRP Price Short-Term Outlook for Today, September 3</strong></h2><p>All eyes are on the $2.80 level. <a href="https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/xrp/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">If XRP price holds above it, a rebound toward $3.00</a> is possible later today.
