Pyth Network

PYTH has stolen the spotlight from CRO, which made headlines yesterday, and is now the biggest mover among the top 100 coins. The token exploded by more than 80% today, making it one of the strongest gainers in the entire market.
The reason is clear: the U.S. Department of Commerce has chosen Pyth Network to help verify and distribute official government economic data onchain. This is a major endorsement, and it’s being viewed as one of the most important partnerships in Pyth’s history.

Why PYTH Is Pumping

The news confirms that Pyth will play a direct role in handling critical U.S. economic data, including GDP, inflation figures, and consumption metrics. This is not just another corporate collaboration. It’s government-level integration that positions Pyth as a trusted infrastructure layer for bringing traditional economic information into blockchain systems.

For traders, this kind of news instantly changes how they value PYTH. It signals adoption, real-world utility, and government recognition — three of the biggest catalysts that can push a token’s price higher.

How PYTH Will Help the U.S. Government

According to the details shared, Pyth will start with quarterly GDP data going back five years, giving the blockchain ecosystem a foundational dataset. Updates will be periodic, with plans to expand into a wider range of economic indicators in the future.
Distribution will leverage Pyth’s cross-chain capabilities, which already cover more than 65 ecosystems. Data will be pushed out in real time, updated every 400 milliseconds for general feeds, ensuring high-frequency applications can rely on it. To secure integrity, Pyth uses cryptographic verification tools and broadcast models that make the data tamper-proof and highly trustworthy.
In short, this partnership places Pyth at the center of bridging traditional finance with blockchain — a role that traders clearly see as transformative.

On the 4-hour chart, the PYTH price pumped from $0.12 to $0.24 in one massive green candle. Volume spiked to over 664M, the highest in weeks. Open interest also jumped, hitting 288M, showing fresh leverage coming into the market.

Net longs climbed to 134M, while shorts also increased but remain slightly lower. The tilt suggests that while some traders are betting against the rally, the majority are positioned on the bullish side. Net short interest jumped above 305M, showing volatility is far from over and that liquidations could fuel further upside.
For now, PYTH is holding above $0.22, with immediate resistance near $0.25 and support around $0.20. After an 80% pump, volatility is high, but the fundamentals behind this move give it more weight than a typical hype-driven rally.
