USDT0, a cross-chain version of the popular stablecoin USDT, has been launched on Rootstock, a Layer 2 network built on top of the Bitcoin network. This new launch will enable users to transfer stablecoins between blockchains easily.&nbsp; 
At the same time, it aims to enhance the utilization of digital money in Bitcoin-based <a href="https://thecoinrise.com/what-is-decentralized-finance-defi/">decentralized finance </a>(DeFi) applications.

USDT0 is a version of the USDT stablecoin that can work across many blockchains. USDT is fully backed on the Ethereum network.&nbsp; 
However, it is not run by Tether itself. A company called Everdawn Labs manages USDT0. According to the team behind the project, the goal of USDT0 is to reduce the cost and difficulty of using stablecoins on different blockchains.&nbsp; 
USDT0 enables people to send and use digital dollars faster and at lower fees. This makes it easier for developers and users to utilize stablecoins across various blockchain applications without requiring manual fund transfers between networks. 
With USDT0 now available on Rootstock, people can use stablecoins directly in apps built on the Bitcoin blockchain. This is important because Rootstock allows developers to create applications similar to those on Ethereum. At the same time, it uses Bitcoin’s secure and reliable network for protection.&nbsp;

The launch of USDT0 on Rootstock helps bring this stablecoin into new spaces. It connects the stablecoin to Bitcoin-based finance, allowing money to move more freely across blockchain systems.&nbsp;
