In crypto, setting up an Auto-Invest plan is one of the easiest ways to take the stress out of market swings and build up your portfolio over time. Exchanges know this, and they’re all rolling out tools that promise flexibility, sleek design, and hands-off investing.
So, I took a closer look at five big names: MEXC, OKX, WhiteBIT, ByBit, and Binance, focusing on interface convenience and customization, investment frequency, token selection, supported volumes, and user feedback on how these tools perform in the field. Let’s dive in.
<h3 id="strong-but-first-what-s-auto-invest-strong">But first, what’s Auto-Invest?</h3>
Auto‑Invest, aka dollar‑cost averaging (DCA) is a way to grow your crypto portfolio. Essentially, you commit a fixed amount of money to buy crypto at regular intervals. That said, not everyone is sold on automated strategies. As <a href="https://www.linkedin.com/in/kenneth-lee-b966b4209/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Kenneth Lee</a>, Co-Founder of Apac DAO and advisor to several Web3 ventures, told me:
«From a mathematical perspective, if automated investing systems could guarantee profits for all participants, they would indeed be highly valuable. However, this isn't realistic because financial markets operate as a zero-sum game where capital flows from one group to another - no strategy can consistently generate wins for everyone.»
Now let’s compare
<h3 id="strong-a-href-https-www-mexc-co-rel-noopener-noreferrer-nofollow-mexc-a-a-href-https-www-altrady-com-mexc-trading-bot-rel-noopener-noreferrer-nofollow-trading-bots-a-strong"><a href="https://www.mexc.co/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">MEXC</a> + <a href="https://www.altrady.com/mexc-trading-bot" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Trading Bots</a></h3>
Interface &amp; Customization
MEXC does not offer a native Auto‑Invest feature, instead relying on external bot services&nbsp; like Altrady, Mizar, and Octobot. This offers ultimate customization as users can set expertly configured bots, but depends entirely on external platforms, which adds complexity and potential additional fees. Also, the user experience is far from comfy and only proficient traders might actually use it.
Supported Tokens &amp; Investment Volume
MEXC allows bot-assisted investing in any token listed on MEXC (<a href="https://www.mexc.com/en-GB/tokens" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">2944</a> as of time of writing). That’s effectively unlimited choice, but minimums and regularity depend on bot configuration.
User Feedback
The <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/TradingView/comments/193gn6l/my_experience_with_a_trading_bot_and_facing_losses/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">feedback</a> is fairly mixed: some users manage it successfully, some face serious losses due to complexity.
<h3 id="strong-a-href-https-www-bybit-com-en-fiat-trade-invest-home-type-cryptotarget-btcsource-usdt-rel-noopener-noreferrer-nofollow-bybit-auto-invest-a-strong"><a href="https://www.bybit.com/en/fiat/trade/invest/home?type=crypto&amp;target=BTC&amp;source=USDT" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">ByBit Auto-Invest</a></h3>
Interface &amp; Customization
ByBit’s Auto‑Invest offers a roadmap with a rather simple interface. Plus, it's integrated with ByBit's broader bot suite and AI-based recommendations. You can also select investment frequency: daily, weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly.
Supported Tokens &amp; Investment Volume
The variety of supported tokens is not that broad: 195 as of time of writing. ByBit allows purchases within the $1 - $2 000 000 range and supports up to five tokens per bot.
User Feedback
There are no strong user reviews directly praising or critiquing the feature, however, the only <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/Bybit/comments/16x5whn/bybit_autoinvest_feature/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">feedback</a> I found was from a user seeking help due to setup confusion, so maybe the interface is not that intuitive after all.
<h3 id="strong-a-href-https-www-binance-com-en-convert-usdt-bnb-activetab-recurring-rel-noopener-noreferrer-nofollow-binance-convert-recurring-a-strong">🏦 <a href="https://www.binance.com/en/convert/USDT/BNB?activeTab=recurring" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Binance Convert Recurring</a></h3>
Interface &amp; Customization
The interface looks clean although many users may not even understand it’s an Auto-Invest tool as it looks like a crypto converter, which is a bit confusing.
You can schedule your investments every 1/4/8/12 hours, daily, weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly.
Supported Tokens &amp; Investment Volume
412 coins listed under Binance Convert are eligible for recurring purchases. You can invest within the $0.1 - $4 500 000 range, which lets you have micro-investments at a frequent schedule.
User Feedback
From what I’ve seen, the sentiment is rather negative, with <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/CryptoCurrency/comments/1dv50j5/recurring_buy_question/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">users</a> pointing out significant slippage and being charged extra money.
<h3 id="strong-a-href-https-whitebit-com-auto-invest-overview-rel-noopener-noreferrer-nofollow-whitebit-auto-invest-a-strong"><a href="https://whitebit.com/auto-invest/overview" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">WhiteBIT Auto-Invest</a></h3>
Interface &amp; Customization
WhiteBIT offers a sleek, and pretty intuitive Auto‑Invest dashboard. Also, users can set investments every 1/4/12 hours, daily, weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly. What stands out to me is the Advanced Settings part: you can set price limits to buy within a specific range of your choice and pick how many times the plan runs before stopping. What’s also interesting is that WhiteBIT tends to develop its own tools rather than following what others are doing. That mindset carries over into the broader ecosystem too — their native coin, WBT, is currently ranked in the top 15 on <a href="https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges/whitebit" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">CoinGecko</a> and has managed to hold up pretty well despite ongoing geopolitical turbulence. It’s worth noting that the $WBT/$USDT pair is now available for margin trading as well, which adds another option for those comfortable with higher-risk approaches.
Also, back in March, I set up a $1,000/month Auto-Invest plan on WhiteBIT to buy ETH, but only if the price was between $1,500 and $2,000. It triggered every month: March, April, and even the beginning of May, since ETH was hovering around<a href="https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/ethereum" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow"> $1,840</a> each time, and I ended up with about 1.63 ETH for $3,000 total. Fast forward to mid-June, ETH hit $2,522, so my stack was worth over $4,100. That’s a $1,100 profit in three months, and honestly, I didn’t do anything but set it and forget it.
Supported Tokens &amp; Investment Volume
The feature supports <a href="https://whitebit.com/assets" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">321</a> cryptocurrencies, but here’s where it gets interesting: there are no limits to Auto-Investing. The exchange lets you pick the minimum and maximum limit for your plans, giving quite a lot of flexibility with your investments.
User Feedback
I’ve tried out WhiteBIT’s Auto-Invest feature, and from a user perspective, it’s been straightforward and functional. It’s easy enough to set up and manage, and feels like a practical option for anyone looking to automate regular buys without overcomplicating things.
<h3 id="strong-okx-recurring-buy-strong">📱 OKX Recurring Buy</h3>
Interface &amp; Customization
OKX offers a Recurring Buy feature as part of its trading bot suite. The interface of the tool looks easy to use, though it's primarily designed for mobile use. OKX brought the customization as well: you can set an investment for each 1/4/8/12 hours, daily, weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly. Also, you can set a lower or upper price separately for each selected asset.
Supported Tokens &amp; Investment Volume
OKX Recurring Buy supports 250 tokens, and up to 20 tokens per recurring plan. Unfortunately, there are some limits, so be ready to invest only within the range of $5.95 - $1 000 000 if you go for OKX.
User Feedback
There is no authentic user feedback on OKX Recurring Buy, but OKX averages below-average 3.1 stars on Trustpilot with mixed <a href="https://www.trustpilot.com/review/okx.com" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">feedback</a> on the exchange.
<h3 id="strong-wrapping-up-strong">Wrapping up</h3>
It’s clear that each exchange brings something different to the table: some prioritize flexibility, others lean into bot integrations, and a few keep it ultra simple. That said, every investor has different needs and risk appetites, so as always, do your own research and go with the platform that best fits your strategy.
