The first agentic crypto browser Donut —unifying wallets, networks, and DEXs— has announced the completion of its pre-seed funding round, led by Hongshan (formerly known as Sequoia CN), BITKRAFT, and HackVC, with participation from Sky9 Ventures, Matrix Partners, Makers Fund, Altos, Orthogonal Ventures, Vessel Ventures, and SonicSVM.

Donut, the pioneering agentic crypto browser, today announced a 7 million pre-seed round led by Hongshan (formerly known as Sequoia CN), BITKRAFT, and HackVC, with participation from Sky9 Ventures, Matrix Partners, Makers Fund, Altos, Orthogonal Ventures, Vessel Ventures, and SonicSVM. This round will fuel Donut’s mission to become the first and leading agentic crypto browser and next gen order flow.
Donut founder & CEO Chris Zhu stated: “We’re grateful to our investors for sharing our vision. With their backing, we are reconstructing the front-end of the internet to be hyperfinancialized for the AI-agents. The traditional browser has not changed for 30 + years, and we get to re-architect everything.”

The First Agentic Crypto Browser
Traditional browsers separate information retrieval from financial actions. Donut merges them. Incorporating a range of decentralized tools into a single agentic interface, Donut provides a comprehensive front-end for accessing an array of crypto services. It enables users to follow the latest tokens, instantly trade, place bets, execute trades, and earn yield — all without leaving the page.
Donut’s Chief Scientist, former CMU and Meta AI researcher Tim Fan, said: “Our vision is for crypto executions to be completed by agents. In order to do that, we are building the best in-domain model and a swarm of browser agents across complex environments. Our browser and extensions will be where the agents live.”
Donut is the first crypto agentic browser powered by the best crypto in-domain model and a swarm of browsing agents. Built on the CodeAct framework, leveraging MCP Client and headless browser automation, agents can follow newest tokens, instantly trade or earn, swap tokens, place bets, or earn yields. Donut hosts a wallet, a network and a DEX in a single agentic interface and is the largest front-end in crypto to be re-imagined.
Donut enables seamless execution—positioning itself as the front-end for all future agents and crypto explorers. In a world of increasing information overflow and asset volatility, Donut brings speed, context, and automation to the browsing layer — turning clicks into actions and curiosity into yield.

Scaling the Vision: Hiring and Waitlist
Donut is rethinking the browser for the modern internet — fast, contextual, and built for action. The team believes that users shouldn’t just consume information. They should be able to act on it instantly, trade, transact and earn on the internet.
To do that, Donut is recruiting product managers, prompt engineers, AI researchers, video editors, graphic designers, and illustrators to accelerate the development of these features and community growth.
