dYdX community announced the discontinuation of the ethDYDX-to-DYDX bridge with support ending in June 2025.

dYdX's community

Led by notable figures like Charles d’Haussy, decided to end ethDYDX bridging. A community vote confirmed discontinuation by June 2025, affecting token conversion and staking rights.

The dYdX Foundation documentation stated, "The dYdX Chain community has voted to cease support of the wethDYDX smart contract by approximately June 2025. After such date, this migration front end and contract will no longer be supported."

The decision affects over 64.4 million unbridged tokens, with potential knock-on effects in DeFi markets. Holders are warned of impacts on their network participation without timely conversion.
Market dynamics may shift as liquidity migrates from Ethereum to the Cosmos-enhanced dYdX Chain ecosystem. Participatory rights on the dYdX Chain are contingent upon timely migration.
Historically similar migrations saw liquidity reductions and governance capability losses among unbridged tokens. dYdX's transition could result in analogous outcomes without prompt action.
The community-driven cessation emphasized continuity in blockchain migrations, highlighting governance roles in directing infrastructure changes. Charles d’Haussy reinforced the urgency with multiple public communications to ensure awareness and prompt action. Financial impacts could include diminished liquidity on Ethereum as assets transition to Cosmos. This may align with trends seen in other cross-chain migrations. Read original article on tokentopnews.com
