Ethereum (ETH) is on a prolonged downward trend, causing crypto users to wonder what is happening with the market's second-largest crypto. Ethereum’s dip has incurred significant losses for its holders, with about 70% of ETH addresses clearly out of money. The token is plunging even deeper despite the network’s activity, such as the Pectra upgrade deployed on the Sepolia testnet to increase ETH’s worth.

Despite the bear market, DuragDoge ($DURAG) is the real winner right now.
Ethereum (ETH) Still in the Dip as its New Upgrade on Sepolia Testnet Faces Issues

Ethereum’s most anticipated upgrade, Pectra, was deployed on its final testnet on March 5. The upgrade marks a significant milestone towards Ethereum’s goal of achieving the mainnet activation. Pectra has received immense support from community members, who hope the upgrade will boost ETH’s value. The upgrade also aims to improve Ethereum’s network activity and scalability.

However, Pectra has yet to live up to its promises, as the developers encounter a hurdle on the Sepolia testnet. Tim Beiko, Ethereum Protocol Support Lead, said the problem is due to a custom deposit contract on Sepolia. This caused execution layer (EL) clients to face issues such as transaction delays within blocks. With this issue onboard, the mainnet activation launch date might be postponed, killing token holders’ hopes.

This also means the ETH token might continue to plummet, as the upgrade was supposed to cause ETH to rally. The dip is affecting investors and token holders, as data from IntoTheBlock shows only about 26% of ETH addresses are making slight profits. This means that over 70% of Ethereum addresses have lost everything. No wonder holders are shifting to $DURAG, one of the best crypto coins to invest in.
