<p>According to the latest reports, it seems that Franklin Templeton might plan to apply a filing for a Solana ETF, following the same recent moves made by Grayscale.</p> 
<p>Franklin Templeton is a global leader in asset management with more than seven decades of experience and almost $1.6 trillion AUM as of December 31, 2024.</p> 
<h2 id="franklin-templeton-files-for-a-solana-trust">Franklin Templeton Files for a Solana Trust</h2> 
<p>The asset manager has filed for a Franklin Solana Trust in Delaware with the documents being dated February 10, 2025.</p> 
<p>This move could mean that Franklin Templeton could soon file for a Solana ETF, considering that this was the process that has been followed by other ETF issuers including Bitwise and others, as Solana Floor pointed out via an X <a href="https://x.com/SolanaFloor/status/1889380558989574240" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">post</a> yesterday.</p>

<p>In a<a href="https://x.com/FTDA_US/status/1815830495403626816" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> post</a> on X dated July 23, 2024, Franklin Templeton Digital Assets noted that besides Bitcoin and Ethereum, there were other significant developments that they believed would drive the crypto industry ahead.</p> 
<p>The asset manager mentioned Solana, saying it has shown major adoption and continuous maturation, overcoming technological growing pains, and highlighting the potential of high throughput and monolithic architectures.</p>

<p>Solana has indeed managed to have a full year of 100% operational network. As we revealed a few days ago, Solana achieved its<a href="https://crypto.ro/en/news/solana-records-longest-uptime-as-memecoin-and-ai-speculation-drive-revenues/"> longest continuous uptime</a> in history on February 6 when it marked a complete year without downtime since its last outage in 2024 that lasted for over 4 hours.</p>
