With 2025 on the horizon, Cardano (ADA) remains focused on its major updates and innovations. However, IntelMarkets (INTL), Stellar (XLM), and SUI are emerging as powerful altcoins in the DeFi sector, showing strong potential to surpass Cardano in the coming months. Here’s how!

In December 2024, Cardano’s community was energized by a significant development. ADA can now be exchanged on Ledger Live Desktop through Exodus. This milestone allows ADA holders to exchange their tokens securely within Ledger’s ecosystem.
Despite this development, ADA’s market performance faces challenges. After reaching $1.30 in December, ADA dropped to $0.84. This marks a decline from its highest value since 2022. However, Cardano’s founder, Charles Hoskinson, remains hopeful, predicting that the platform will soon achieve remarkable success.
A key factor in this potential growth is the incorporation of Bitcoin DeFi through BitcoinOS. Hoskinson believes this integration could unlock billions of dollars for the Cardano ecosystem. Such a development could drive Cardano’s position among top altcoins in the market.
Hoskinson also points to upcoming upgrades as another catalyst for growth. These include Cardano’s Midnight, new partnerships, and dApp upgrades. With these enhancements, Cardano’s network could receive a significant boost, potentially accelerating ADA’s growth.
<h2 id="intelmarkets-the-defi-platform-set-to-outpace-cardano-in-2025">IntelMarkets: The DeFi Platform Set to Outpace Cardano in 2025</h2>
<a href="https://intelmarkets.io?utm_source=coinrise&amp;utm_medium=bruno&amp;utm_campaign=01" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">IntelMarkets</a> is shaking up the crypto trading world. With its dual-chain functionality, it’s offering traders something other platforms can’t match. Built on the Ethereum and Solana blockchains, this structure gives users the flexibility to pick the best chain for their trading strategy.
IntelMarkets’ 1000x leverage feature is a game-changer. Traders can increase their positions, making the most of even the smallest price moves. With this powerful tool, the platform ensures its users can optimize their trading and boost their returns, giving it an edge over other altcoins.
IntelMarkets’ strong focus on real-world utility makes it stand out in a competitive market. The platform enables users to access perpetual futures contracts, a flexible trading option with no expiration. This approach ensures that traders can hold positions as long as they see fit. It provides enhanced liquidity, so users can take full advantage of market movements without liquidity issues holding them back.
Its tokenomics and asset pairs further enhance IntelMarkets’ appeal. Offering diverse pairs across both blockchains means that traders have access to a variety of investment opportunities. This helps reduce risk and increases the potential for higher profits, which IntelMarkets offers through favorable borrowing terms.
Together these features are fueling intense demand in INTL’s ongoing presale. Experts are closely watching INTL, forecasting a 100x price growth that could enable it to surpass ADA in 2025.

Stellar is on track to outperform several altcoins, including Cardano, in 2025. In December 2024, Stellar secured a major partnership with OwlTing and MoneyGram. This partnership allows OwlPay Wallet Pro users to handle USDC transactions worldwide at MoneyGram locations.
Stellar’s network is reinforced by this partnership, making it a more dependable blockchain for financial transactions. With increasing credibility and visibility, Stellar is paving the way for broader XLM adoption.
Though XLM’s price has fallen from $0.60 to $0.39, experts are still optimistic. With the boost from new partnerships and use cases, price projections show a rise to $0.80 by Q1 2025.
<h2 id="sui-set-to-surpass-altcoins-in-2025-with-groundbreaking-developments">SUI Set to Surpass Altcoins in 2025 with Groundbreaking Developments</h2>
SUI is showing potential to surpass altcoins, including Cardano, in 2025 following key developments. December 2024 was a turbulent month for SUI, with its price dropping from $4.90 to $3.52. However, it quickly rebounded to $4.17, sparking investor optimism.
SUI recently introduced SEED, a top-tier farming game, which has the potential to elevate SUI’s standing in the DeFi space. Along with $SEED and an innovative NFT collection, these updates are fueling speculation about SUI’s price potential.
Analysts now predict that SUI could surge to $6 by Q2 2025. With such exciting developments, SUI is positioned to become a leading altcoin in 2025.
<h2 id="intl-xlm-and-sui-change-the-defi-game-is-ada-at-risk">INTL, XLM, and SUI Change the DeFi Game: Is ADA at Risk?</h2>
While Cardano continues to push forward with optimistic plans and updates, the emergence of platforms like IntelMarkets, Stellar, and SUI is reshaping the DeFi landscape. As these altcoins continue to evolve, they are showing potential to not only compete with ADA but potentially outperform it, most especially INTL.
INTL is currently in Stage 8 of its public presale, priced at $0.07. With over $5 million raised, industry experts predict a 100x increase post-launch. This indicates the vast profit potential IntelMarkets offers, making it a top choice for investors seeking strong returns in 2025. Seize the chance to be part of this transformation!
