Quadratic Accelerator (q/acc) has successfully gone live on Polygon zkEVM to support a new era of sustainable token economies. The protocol reimagines traditional token generation events by leveraging Augmented Bonding Curves (ABC) and Quadratic Funding (QF) to create fairer, more resilient token launches built on community support and long-term value creation.
Rather than catering to short-term speculation, q/acc introduces mechanisms that promote genuine token-holder alignment and sustainable growth. This model increases the resilience of small-cap tokens and fosters more alignment between projects, their communities and the protocols they’re building on.
Combined with identity verification tools like Privado zkID and Passport XYZ, q/acc ensures broader community access, capping the amount each individual can contribute and mitigating outsized influence by whales. Lock-up schedules are structured to reward long-term participants, preventing fast exits and maintaining community trust.
q/acc’s emergence comes at a time of diminishing trust in token launch platforms that offer minimal safeguards. Many of the most popular bonding curve implementations on memecoin launchpads favor scams and low quality projects. q/acc solves this by upholding stringent criteria and community-centered principles.
Griff Green, co-founder of Giveth and one of the minds behind q/acc, said: “We’ve taken the quadratic funding model and supercharged it with advanced token engineering. This creates a massive win for all stakeholders: communities gain upside in early-stage projects, founders can launch liquid utility tokens effortlessly, and ecosystems see increased TVL and token utility.”
One standout participant from q/acc’s first round, x23, is building AI-powered tools that streamline onchain governance, capturing the community’s imagination and early financial support. By bringing together a cohort of pioneering teams, q/acc fosters an environment where projects can tap into Polygon’s emerging AggLayer and zkEVM ecosystem, guided by expert mentorship and bolstered by a trusted network of supporters.
Core features of q/acc protocol include:

Community-Led Funding: Supporters get in at ~$2M market caps or lower, before VCs and speculators.

Guaranteed Liquidity: Instead of distributing grants, Polygon’s equity free funding is routed into bonding curves to bootstrap liquidity pools and protect supporters.

Whale Mitigation: Privado zkID and Passport XYZ identity verification ensure that each individual supporter has a cap on the max they can contribute, ensuring broad community access.

Anti-Rugpull: Token unlock schedules prioritize the community participating in the q/acc round. q/acc community tokens unlock months before everyone else’s.

Anti-Scams: Unlike launchpads where anyone (even scammers) can create a token, only 8 high caliber projects out of over 200 applicants were selected to participate in q/acc.

Post-Round Price Floor: The mechanics of q/acc ensure that the price floor that will be set when liquid tokens hit the open market will be higher than what it took to mint tokens in the q/acc round.

These features ensure fair launches and sustainable growth, protecting supporters while creating ideal conditions for token communities to thrive. Early supporters gain an opportunity to help shape promising projects, while founders benefit from a frictionless way to launch tokens that remain liquid and utility-driven from day one.
Incubated by Giveth, built on Polygon, and supported by Commons Stack, General Magic, and Inverter Network, q/acc is backed by established players who understand the importance of sustainable token economies. Its inaugural round, running from December 6-20, marks the beginning of recurring funding seasons designed to empower future generations of web3 startups.
