<p>Bitcoin’s price kicked off the week surging above $64,000. At the moment of writing this article, BTC is up by almost 2% today, following an earlier dip close to $62,000.</p>

<p>This is the first time when BTC has surged above $64,000 since October 7th. During the past week, the coin traded mostly around the $62,000 level, except for a price drop below $59,000 on October 10th.</p> 
<p>Regarding the US-based Bitcoin ETFs, during the last week, the crypto products saw two inflow days.</p> 
<h2 id="btc-etfs-recorded-308-million-in-inflows-last-week">BTC ETFs Recorded $308 Million in Inflows Last Week</h2> 
<p>During the week starting on October 7 until October 11, the US-based Bitcoin ETFs recorded inflows of $308 million.</p>

<p>The two inflow days for the crypto products were October 7 with over $235 million in influxes and October 11 with over $253.5 million in inflows.</p> 
<p>As of October 11, the total net assets locked in the US-based Bitcoin ETFs were over $58.6 billion. Also, the cumulative total net inflow in the crypto products as of last Friday was $18.81 billion, according to official data from <a href="https://sosovalue.xyz/assets/etf/us-btc-spot" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">SoSoValue</a>.</p>

<p>Bitcoin’s optimistic price trajectory this week follows important events that took place over the weekend, potentially preventing another Trump assassination attempt.</p> 
<h2 id="armed-man-arrested-at-a-trump-rally">Armed Man Arrested at a Trump Rally</h2> 
<p>According to<a href="https://www.aljazeera.com/news/2024/10/13/us-sheriff-says-probably-prevented-third-trump-assassination-attempt" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank"> Al Jazeera</a>, law enforcement officers likely prevented a third assassination attempt against Trump during the weekend.</p> 
<p>According to new reports from <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024/oct/13/las-vegas-man-arrested-trump-assassination-attempt-coachella-california" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">The Guardian</a>, an armed man, with guns and false press and VIP passes was apprehended by authorities at a campaign rally in California last Saturday that was held by former US President Donald Trump.</p> 
<p>The suspect was identified as Las Vegas resident Vem Miller and he was intercepted by police at a checkpoint about a half-mile from an entrance to the rally in Coachella Valley, California, according to a Sunday police statement.</p> 
<p>Police said that the man was carrying a loaded shotgun, handgun, and high-capacity magazine.</p> 
<p>There have been two other assassination attempts against Trump this year, one in<a href="https://crypto.ro/en/news/bitcoin-price-slumps-following-trumps-2nd-assassination-attempt/"> September</a> and the other one back in <a href="https://crypto.ro/en/news/trump-related-tokens-and-nft-collection-spike-after-the-weekends-assassination-attempt/">July</a>.</p> 
<p>Next month, on November 5, the US will see what Elon Musk recently<a href="https://x.com/elonmusk/status/1842703639753761104" rel="nofollow" target="_blank"> called</a> “the most important election of your LIFE.”</p>
