David Schwartz, the Chief Technology Officer at Ripple, and a key architect of the XRP Ledger (XRPL), has <a href="https://x.com/JoelKatz/status/1843893561877774356?t=yThBN8QrAYX5GIS7tYRSrg&amp;s=19" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">weighed in</a> on the ongoing debate, offering insights into his involvement with the early cryptocurrency community.

A recently released HBO documentary, titled “Money Electric: The Bitcoin Mystery,” has brought renewed attention to questioning Satoshi Nakamoto’s identity.
The documentary debuted on October 8 and features interviews with several prominent figures from Bitcoin’s early days, including Adam Back, Roger Ver, and Samson Mow.
Notably, the documentary’s creator, Cullen Hoback, presents a theory suggesting that Canadian software developer Peter Todd might be the elusive Satoshi Nakamoto.
This claim is based on circumstantial evidence, including posts from early Bitcoin forums. However, Todd has explicitly denied these allegations.

In response to the documentary’s release, an X user <a href="https://x.com/Facestealer589/status/1843887343734009934?t=VQdW_m052HkQtXr-aUen2w&amp;s=19" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">questioned</a> Schwartz about his potential connection to the individuals featured in the film.
He asked Schwartz about his involvement because the CTO was absent from the documentary, and the user found that noteworthy. Some in the community also <a href="https://timestabloid.com/ripple-ceo-recent-comment-puts-david-schwartz-as-real-satoshi-nakamoto/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">believe Schwartz is Nakamoto</a>, making his absence from the documentary a more puzzling choice.
In his response, Schwartz revealed that he did not get involved with the crypto space until mid-2011, after Bitcoin’s initial launch. “Not really. I didn’t get involved until mid-2011,” Ripple CTO stated.
