<p>Fractal Bitcoin, a new sidechain utilizing joint mining, has captured over 240 EH/s of Bitcoin’s overall <a href="https://ultramining.com/news/en/impending-bitcoin-halving-may-trigger-major-hashrate-decline-say-experts/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">hashrate</a> in just its first 24 hours of operation. Launched in September 2024, the sidechain allows miners to simultaneously mine multiple cryptocurrencies, increasing their efficiency by using the same <a href="https://ultramining.com/hardware/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">hardware</a> for different blockchain networks.</p><p>The majority of this computational power comes from leading mining pools like Antpool, <a href="https://ultramining.com/en/ratings/f2pool/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">F2pool</a>, and Spiderpool, which contributed 133 EH/s. Fractal Bitcoin has already shown impressive potential, as it now accounts for more than 35% of Bitcoin’s total hashrate, marking a significant development in the world of cryptocurrency mining.</p>
