The Bitcoin network has seen an extraordinary growth spurt, with the hashrate surging by 66 exahashes per second (EH/s) within just a week. This brings the total network power to new highs, reflecting rapid expansion in mining activities. As a direct consequence of this unprecedented growth, a projected 5.48% increase in network difficulty is expected in the coming days.
The surge has led many industry experts to speculate about the sustainability of such growth. Despite the higher difficulty, miners seem confident, as the competition to solve blocks continues to intensify. This jump in network activity signals a bullish sentiment in the market, with investors and miners alike preparing for more significant shifts in the blockchain space.
