<p>Pippen alleged that he saw the mysterious founder of the digital currency through a dream and declared that Bitcoin would reach $84,650 by November 5. This particular revelation soon emerged as another popular topic of both ridicule and amazement on multiple social media platforms.</p>   
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-social-media-reactions-bewilderment-and-mockery">Social Media Reactions: Bewilderment and Mockery</h2>   
<p>Pippen’s assertion was not rebuked or ignored but, rather, stirred a lot of responses from bemusement to ridicule. Some users of social networks actively doubted the sincerity of his words; one participant in the discussion asked ‘’Who is managing this account?’’&nbsp;</p>   
<p>Pippen's post raised many discussions as his message was posted when the <a href="https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/bitcoin" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener nofollow">Bitcoin</a> rate drastically fell. Earlier in the day, the cryptocurrency touched an intraday low of $55,602, which prompted some to ask Pippen humorously when would be a better time to buy BTC.</p>

<p>Pippen has been venturing into the world of cryptocurrency before. In 2022, he came out with his line of NFTs, which could indicate his active involvement in digital currency products. A few years later, Pippen intrigued his fans by asking them what he should buy, <a href="https://cryptonewsland.com/bitcoin-and-ethereum-etfs-see-major-outflows-amid-market-volatility/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Ethereum</a> or Solana, indicating that he was becoming increasingly interested in crypto.&nbsp;</p>   
<p>Though many believed there was a chance that Pippen would launch a <a href="https://cryptonewsland.com/memecoins-to-dominate-the-market-100x-in-2024/" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">meme</a> cryptocurrency, he chose something different. He presented a tokenized basketball used during the ‘91 championship between the Bulls and the Lakers.</p>   
<p>Still, several unfortunate occurrences in Pippen’s foray into the crypto industry have raised eyebrows. This sparked controversy when he mentioned that the basketball would be tokenized, and while users would own tokens representing parts of the ball, they would not own the actual asset. This action led to an adverse reaction from the crypto fraternity, mainly because of the perceived skeptical reception to the initiative.</p>
