<a href="https://optimisus.com/news/crypto-news/this-arbitrum-based-liquidity-management-protocol-loses-1-6-million-to-hackers/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">The Arbitrum Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO)</a> has authorized a $222 million investment campaign to enhance its gaming environment, with the goal of increasing user participation on the Arbitrum, Orbit, and Stylus gaming platforms.  
The program aims to allocate a total of 225 million ARB tokens, which have an estimated worth of $222 million, over a span of three years via the newly established Gaming Catalyst Program (GCP).  
A specialized team will be responsible for managing the GCP, under the supervision of a five-member expert council. The council comprises individuals with expertise in gaming, venture finance, data analysis, and DAO governance.  
The operating budget has a maximum limit of $25 million, and any further costs need permission from the DAO. The majority of money are allocated to publishers, although new and early-stage developers have the opportunity to apply for grants of up to 500,000 ARB.  
The remaining cash will be used towards infrastructural bounties and operational expenses. The data from Growthepie indicates a significant increase of 30% in the number of active addresses on the Arbitrum network on a daily basis, which places it in a leading position among other layer-2 networks in terms of activity.  
Arbitrum stands as the most extensive Ethereum Layer 2 solution, with a total value locked (TVL) of over $4 billion.
