A leading decentralized public network, Hedera has consistently prioritized <a href="https://newslinker.co/category/cybersecurity/" target="_blank" rel="noopener" data-wpel-link="exclude">cybersecurity</a>, providing a secure environment for decentralized applications and transactions while protecting its network against potential threats. In a significant development, Hedera announced its founding membership in the newly established Crypto Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Crypto ISAC). This non-profit association is dedicated to strengthening security measures across the cryptocurrency ecosystem. 
<h2 style="text-align: justify" id="who-participated-in-the-formation">Who Participated in the Formation?</h2> 
The formation of Crypto ISAC included industry giants such as Aleo, Circle, Coinbase, Consensys, Evertas, Fireblocks, Kraken, Offchain Labs, Red Balloon Security, Ribbit Capital, <a href="https://en.coin-turk.com/sol-coin-price-trends-and-predictions/" data-wpel-link="internal">Solana</a> Foundation, and Trail of Bits. This coalition expressed a collective commitment to addressing the security challenges faced by the crypto industry. The collaboration aims to enable stakeholders to share vital security information and coordinate efforts to preserve the integrity of Blockchain technologies.

Crypto ISAC has outlined five strategic objectives to guide its mission. First, it aims to create a trusted environment where private sector players and government agencies can collaboratively develop resilient global crypto asset and Blockchain industries. This includes measures to prevent the misuse of Web3 infrastructure. 
The second objective focuses on impartial information sharing. Crypto ISAC will act as a neutral information broker, using secure mechanisms to systematically and protectively disseminate information, ensuring all shared data is reliable and trustworthy. 
<h2 style="text-align: justify" id="other-objectives">Other Objectives</h2> 
The third strategic objective is to manage the quality of information dissemination. Crypto ISAC is committed to enhancing the timeliness, quality, and quantity of information shared among its members. This will ensure early notification of actual or potential security incidents, enabling members to address these challenges promptly. 
The fourth objective promotes collaboration among industry stakeholders. By conducting collaborative threat analyses, Crypto ISAC aims to protect critical crypto assets and Blockchain infrastructure by providing contextual, relevant, and actionable information consistent with best-in-class security standards. 
Finally, Crypto ISAC aims to ensure resilience in the crypto industry. The organization promotes agility and flexibility in response to changes in the threat landscape, strengthening Blockchain protocols to adapt to new technologies and evolving national and international crypto policies. This objective is crucial for maintaining the security and integrity of Blockchain networks as the industry develops.
