Bitcoin Pizza Day is celebrated as the anniversary of the milestone of Bitcoin, as Bitcoin was first used as transactional money for buying pizzas from Papa John’s Pizza. In May 2010, the transaction was successfully executed by Laszlo Hanyecz. He posted an order to share 20,000 Bitcoins with the person in exchange for two pizzas. 
He posted the order on May 18, and in the next two days, he got confirmation for his order. It was a fair deal, as the price of pizza was comparatively lower than the BTC prices then.&nbsp; 
Since then, the event has been celebrated by participants in the Bitcoin industry on May 22. The event is celebrated and remembered because it demonstrates the potential use cases for Bitcoin and highlights the increase in adoption and growing acceptance as a mode of payment. 
This year marks the 14th anniversary of Bitcoin Pizza Day, attracting community members as some major organizations are announcing their events on or around the date.&nbsp;

The event will be held at Arcade 92 Retro Arcade, Bar and Restaurant, Flower Mound, Texas.&nbsp; 
Consensys, a blockchain software company working on decentralized web3 development, is currently organizing the meetup to support the local Dallas Web3 community by hosting such an enlightening networking event. 
This event is anticipated to allow attendees to connect with a diverse group of blockchain professionals and Web3 builders.
