<p>Analysts and key <a href="https://finance.coin-turk.com/" data-wpel-link="external" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer">market</a> figures continue to draw attention with their comments on cryptocurrencies. In this context, a prominent figure has made notable statements about <a href="https://en.coin-turk.com/contrary-predictions-for-bitcoin-anticipated-downward-movement-and-potential-bull-trap/" data-wpel-link="internal">Bitcoin</a> these days when the <a href="https://finance.coin-turk.com/" data-wpel-link="external" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer">price</a> seems to be rising.</p> 
<h2 id="criticism-of-bitcoin-from-an-economist">Criticism of Bitcoin from an Economist</h2> 
<p>Famous economist Nouriel Roubini, similar to the past, has once again made harsh criticism of Bitcoin (BTC), questioning the decentralization of the crypto coin. He also reiterated his existing doubts about security and scalability.</p> 
<p>Especially in the past, Roubini had a dismissive attitude towards Bitcoin and altcoins, generally seeing them as a tool for fraud.</p> 
<p>During a discussion held on May 3rd by the well-known <a href="https://finance.coin-turk.com/" data-wpel-link="external" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noreferrer">financial</a> news outlet Zerohedge, Roubini slammed Bitcoin and its fundamental structure in comparison to gold.</p> 
<p>Roubini, known for his accurate prediction during the 2008 financial crisis, stated that Bitcoin offers less in terms of security and scalability than what is seen in the traditional monetary system.</p> 
<p>Roubini mentioned that Bitcoin owners are far from being protected, pointing out that transactions become irreversible if private keys are compromised.</p> 
<h2 id="questioning-bitcoin-s-decentralization">Questioning Bitcoin’s Decentralization</h2> 
<p>Roubini also opposed the concept of Bitcoin’s decentralization, calling it “nonsense.” He noted that the mining process is limited to a few major companies, which diminishes the appearance of decentralization.</p>
