The first cornerstone of Solana’s future success is scalability. Solana’s unique approach to scalability, using a combination of innovative technologies like Proof of History (PoH) and Tower BFT (Byzantine Fault Tolerance), sets it apart from other blockchain platforms. Norby emphasized how this scalability is pivotal for supporting a wide range of decentralized applications (dApps) and facilitating mainstream adoption.

Norby highlighted a substantial increase in the number of “p5DAUs,” which is a custom metric for highly engaged users. He stated that Drip Haus has 25,000 highly engaged users daily, emphasizing the possibility of continued expansion.
The CEO discussed the third important aspect, which is product quality. The product quality improved significantly after resolving the congestion issues, increasing user satisfaction and retention. In the long run, it will be essential to maintain high standards to ensure continued success as the product evolves.

Analysts observed that although Solana has positioned itself as a global settlement network for cross-border payments and has engaged in pilots with Visa and Shopify, it has yet to make significant inroads into mainstream consumer or business-to-business (B2B) payments. The challenges identified include scalability requirements for Solana which has necessitated a substantial increase in transactions per second to meet demand.
These were primarily caused by spam transactions from bots prioritizing their activities over regular users. Despite the challenges with the transaction failures on the Solana network, <a href="https://thecoinrise.com/fantom-creator-andre-cronje-voices-support-for-solana/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Fantom creator Andre Cronje maintains the performance issues</a> were technical challenges rather than flaws in the network’s consensus mechanism.

Despite the different challenges, the stablecoin market has shown resilience, with stablecoin supply rebounding from a low point during the crypto bear market. “With improved crypto market sentiment late 2023 onwards, stablecoins in circulation are back on the growth path and circulating supply currently stands at $150 billion.”
