<p>Bitcoin price was heading towards $65,000 on Monday, but it failed to surge above that. The aftermath has been disappointing, leading to an immediate price drop to $62,000, currently at $56900. The downturn comes ahead of the US FOMC meeting, leading to market volatility. The altcoins have also closely followed BTC, with Ethereum going down to under $2,900 from $3,200, and Binance is down to $550. SOL, DOGE, TON, SHIB, AVAX, BCH, NEAR, and many others have also plunged, lowering the total crypto market cap to $2.240 trillion.</p>
