This scenario has placed XRP in jeopardy of losing its position in the cryptocurrency market rankings based on market capitalization.&nbsp;</p>
 <p class="paragraph">At one point, the token faced the looming threat of being overtaken by the meme cryptocurrency Dogecoin (DOGE).</p>
