In recent hours, some important cryptocurrency whales have traded large amounts of altcoins. Here are some examples of the most important.
A whale investor identified by the short address 0x154 withdrew 309,117 APE tokens from OKX for a total of $507,673 at an average price of $1,642 per token.
Interestingly, the whale did not hold these tokens for long. Immediately after withdrawal, all APE tokens staked in the staking pool. As of now, this whale holds and staked a total of 404,969 APE tokens in the pool, worth $667,867.
Another whale, known as 0x1c6, made a significant move by withdrawing 16,391 METIS worth $1.42 million from cryptocurrency exchange MEXC at $86,946 per unit. This METIS accumulation is particularly notable as it occurred when the price of the altcoin dropped 6.1% in the last 24 hours. Currently, in addition to METIS, this whale also owns AETHAAVE at $7.95 million and VXVS at $2.85 million.

A wallet affiliated with the Hermez Network, identified by the short address 0xa31, deposited 3 million MATIC, equivalent to $2.85 million, to Kraken at an average price of $0.95 per token. This wallet received 19.82 million MATIC from Hermez Network 23 days ago and currently holds 16.82 million MATIC worth $16.06 million.
If the above deposits truly belong to Hermez Network, the wallet in question has received an average of $0.864 ($8.76 million total) from various centralized exchanges including SwissBorg, Bitfinex, and Kraken since the beginning of 2024, with a total of 10.15 million MATIC, especially at local peaks. will have deposited it. The wallet currently has at least 37.8 million MATIC deposited to Polygon, worth $36.3 million.
The price of MATIC has increased by approximately 12% in the past week.
Hermez Network, an open source ZK Rollup, was acquired by Polygon for 250 million dollars in 2021.
