Following the $2.1 billion worth of token unlock in January 2024, now in February 2024, there is another significant token unlock scheduled. According to recent data fromTokenUnlock, tokens worth $951.52 million are set to unlock this month from various top crypto projects like SUI, SAND, AVAX, OP, APE, and many others. However, based on previous data as reported by <a href="https://news.todayq.com/2-1-billion-worth-of-tokens-set-to-unlock-in-january-2024/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Todayq News</a>, it has been observed that following token unlocks, the project token prices also significantly increased. The first token to be unlocked is from the SUI project on February 3, 2024. According to the data, nearly 34.62 million SUI tokens, worth around $52.96 million, are going to unlock. These 34.62 million tokens represent 2.97% of the total circulating supply of the SUI project.
The second major crypto project scheduled to unlock its tokens is Sandbox on February 14, 2024. According to the data, approximately 209.59 million SAND tokens, worth around $594.42 million, are set to unlock. These 209.59 million tokens constitute 9.19% of the total circulating supply of the Sandbox project.
The next major crypto project in line to unlock its tokens is APECoin on February 15, 2024. The data indicates that nearly 15.6 million APE tokens, worth around $22.31 million, are going to unlock. These 15.6 million tokens make up 2.58% of the total circulating supply of the APE project.
Another major crypto project scheduled for token unlock is Avalanche on February 22, 2024. According to the data, around 9.54 million AVAX tokens, worth approximately $339.78 million, are expected to unlock. These 9.54 million tokens represent 2.60% of the total circulating supply of the Avalanche project.
The last major crypto project with scheduled token unlock is Optimism on February 29, 2024. According to the data, about 24.16 million OP tokens, valued at around $77.55 million, are set to unlock. These 24.16 million tokens constitute 2.52% of the total circulating supply of the Optimism Crypto project. Does token unlock cause a price surge? 
It’s worth noting that all these cryptocurrencies set to unlock in February 2024 have already experienced significant price momentum in the past few months. According to historical data, following token unlocks, the token prices have tended to increase significantly. Whether this pattern repeats itself remains to be seen.
