<p>Crypto enthusiast Crypto Chrys <a href="https://twitter.com/CryptoChrys17/status/1723173097895776547?t=9PPWVfNCpEC1nYoHhrOZMQ&amp;s=19" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">recently shared</a> his thoughts on why Kaspa (KAS) has significant advantages over the two dominant cryptocurrencies, Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH).</p>
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="kaspa-s-focus-on-digital-cash">Kaspa’s Focus on Digital Cash</h2>
<p>In his post, Crypto Chrys points out that the original vision for Bitcoin was to create peer-to-peer electronic cash that could provide accessible digital money for people around the world. However, Bitcoin has failed to scale sufficiently to support global adoption and everyday transactions, so it has transitioned to being more of a store of value.</p>
<p>Kaspa, on the other hand, was built after 10 years of research on top of Bitcoin’s fundamentals but with new innovative protocols. As a result, Kaspa has solved the “trilemma” problem of balancing scalability, security, and decentralization that plagued Bitcoin. This enables Kaspa to function as efficient digital cash for fast, inexpensive peer-to-peer transactions at a global scale – accomplishing Satoshi Nakamoto’s original vision for cryptocurrency as cash.</p>
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="advantages-over-ethereum">Advantages Over Ethereum</h2>
<p>Meanwhile, Crypto Chrys argues Ethereum has significant flaws compared to Kaspa despite having smart contracts capabilities. He points out problems like:</p>

 <li>High transaction fees, sometimes over $50</li>
 <li>Transition from PoW to PoS consensus viewed by some as corrupting decentralization</li>
 <li>Reliance on layer-2 solutions for scaling rather than base layer scaling</li>

<p>In summary, Crypto Chrys makes the case that Kaspa achieves the core goals of peer-to-peer digital cash and everyday transactions far better than Bitcoin while also having a superior design to Ethereum in key areas. Like Bitcoin, Kaspa’s fixed supply also makes it attractive as a store of value for long-term holdings. Therefore, Kaspa combines the strengths of being digital cash for payments with the strengths of being digital gold as a secure store of value.</p>
