The recent gains of the largest cryptocurrency, Bitcoin (BTC), have caught the attention of investors. Although Bitcoin surpassed the $30,000 mark on October 20, it failed to stay above this psychologically important threshold and is currently trading at $29,588, representing a 1.41% increase in the past 24 hours.
The price of Ethereum, the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization and also the largest altcoin, is currently struggling to surpass the $1,600 level. At the time of writing, ETH is trading at $1,599, reflecting a 1.23% increase in the past 24 hours. Data shows that ETH has increased by 2.97% in the weekly timeframe.
Furthermore, the price of popular altcoins is as follows: Solana (SOL) is trading at $26.84, up 2.12% in the past 24 hours, XRP is trading at $0.5146, up 0.32%, Dogecoin (<a href="https://en.coin-turk.com/is-dogecoin-doge-able-to-break-free-from-the-downtrend-current-data-and-what-you-need-to-know/" data-wpel-link="internal" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">DOGE</a>) is trading at $0.05992, up 1.19%, and <a href="https://en.coin-turk.com/shiba-inu-analysis-important-support-and-resistance-levels-to-watch/" data-wpel-link="internal" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Shiba</a> Inu (SHIB) is trading at $0.000006928, up 0.20%.

Speaking of the overall cryptocurrency market, the total market cap is currently above $1.10 trillion, at $1.12 trillion, reflecting a 0.81% increase in the past 24 hours. The overall trading volume in the market stands at $46.97 billion, representing a 12.54% increase.
