In a strategic effort to boost trading volume and liquidity on its platform, Binance has <a href="https://www.binance.com/en/support/announcement/binance-adds-btc-fdusd-eth-fdusd-trading-pairs-and-updates-the-zero-fee-bitcoin-trading-program-0e4155610e6f4e8bbaaa332545dc43a2" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">unveiled</a> a zero-fee trading program for Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) with the newly listed FDUSD stablecoin spot and margin pairs. 
Following the end of its previous zero-fee trading program, which <a href="https://www.binance.com/en/support/announcement/updates-on-zero-fee-bitcoin-trading-busd-zero-maker-fee-promotion-be13a645cca643d28eab5b9b34f2dc36" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">exempted</a> only TrueUSD (TUSD) from fees in March, Binance’s latest initiative aims to reignite market interest and attract more users to engage in Bitcoin and Ethereum trading. 
<h2 id="fdusd-trading-pairs-and-zero-fee-btc" data-name="fdusd-trading-pairs-and-zero-fee-btc" class="wp-block-heading">FDUSD Trading Pairs and Zero-Fee BTC</h2> 
Binance, the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchange, has recently <a href="https://coinpedia.org/crypto-live-news/binance-offers-zero-trading-fees-for-first-digital-groups-fdusd-stablecoin-listing/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">added FDUSD</a> to its list of trading pairs, effective from July 26, 2023.&nbsp; 
In a <a href="https://www.binance.com/en/support/announcement/binance-adds-btc-fdusd-eth-fdusd-trading-pairs-and-updates-the-zero-fee-bitcoin-trading-program-0e4155610e6f4e8bbaaa332545dc43a2" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">recent announcement</a> on August 3, Binance unveiled the addition of Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) trading pairs with FDUSD, along with an enticing Zero Fee Bitcoin Trading Program. A Zero Fee Bitcoin Trading Program will be implemented on August 4 at 8:00 UTC and will provide traders with an opportunity to trade Bitcoin for a lower price.&nbsp; 
Under this new initiative, Binance users can enjoy the benefits of zero maker and taker fees for BTC/FDUSD spot and margin trading pairs.&nbsp; 
Furthermore, ETH/FDUSD spot trading will feature zero maker fees, while the standard taker fee will apply based on the user’s VIP level. The move aims to enhance accessibility and foster a better trading experience for Binance users

Earlier in March, Binance made significant <a href="https://www.binance.com/en/support/announcement/updates-on-zero-fee-bitcoin-trading-busd-zero-maker-fee-promotion-be13a645cca643d28eab5b9b34f2dc36" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">changes to its fee structure, ending</a> the zero-fee Bitcoin trading program and BUSD zero-maker fee promotion.&nbsp; 
Instead, the <a href="https://twitter.com/KaikoData/status/1640284270437572608" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">exchange adopted</a> the low-market cap TrueUSD (TUSD) stablecoin, while also removing Tether (USDT) from its zero-fee trading program. Unfortunately, these moves had negative repercussions for Binance’s market share, which <a href="https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FsN1uqXWYAE0yuy?format=jpg&amp;name=large" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">plummeted by over 90%</a>, and led to a significant drop in trading volumes. 
Recent reports indicate that Binance’s market share has reached a one-year low, falling to 53.7%. This decline is attributed to both regulatory challenges and the impact of the changes in Binance’s fee structure, which affected trader preferences and participation on the platform.

With the <a href="https://coinpedia.org/crypto-live-news/binance-offers-zero-trading-fees-for-first-digital-groups-fdusd-stablecoin-listing/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">introduction of First Digital USD</a> (FDUSD), Binance has introduced a stablecoin backed by Hong Kong-based custodian and trust company First Digital. As FDUSD enters the cryptocurrency market with a market cap of $257 million, its potential impact has been debated. 
Compared to well-established stablecoins like USDT, TUSD, BUSD, and USTC, FDUSD’s market cap remains relatively low. As a result, its immediate influence on the crypto market may be limited. However, the scenario could change rapidly if Binance decides to mint new FDUSD tokens in response to surging demand. 
Binance’s prominence in the cryptocurrency market remains unwavering, with BTC/TUSD and BTC/USDT trading pairs leading the pack. These pairs account for 14.80% and 6.88% of the total trading volume on the exchange, cementing Binance’s position as the top platform for Bitcoin trading.
