Semifinal 1: Croatia vs Argentina
Croatia’s quarterfinal:
Wow, that’s what you call a surprise. Croatia eliminated the tournament favorite Brazil on penalties, even though they were a goal behind with only five minutes to play! That means back-to-back semifinals for the underdogs, who will be looking for another standout performance from their totem player Luka Modric.
Croatia fan token:
The Croatia fan token VATRENI was not too impressed by the team’s upset and barely changed course over the last few days. Surely, another upset in the semis would send its price higher?
Argentina’s quarterfinal:
Argentina’s quarterfinal was no less dramatic, as Messi’s team was dragged to penalties despite a 2-0 lead with only 15 minutes to play. In a rowdy match with 15 yellow cards, Argentina eventually prevailed and must be fancying their chances against the nominally “easier” opponent.

The Argentina fan token ARG did experience a slight pump following their quarterfinal win. However, the market did not react as strongly as token holders may have expected to. If Argentina makes the final, you’d fancy ARG to shoot higher, wouldn’t you?

Semifinal 2: Morocco vs France
Morocco’s quarterfinal:
Morocco completed the underdog double one day later, defeating the second Iberian nation (Portugal) in a row. As Ronaldo’s international career ended with a defeat, Morocco’s star is only beginning to shine. They are the first team from the African continent to make a World Cup semifinal. And with a defense that still has not conceded a goal from an opponent player, they may push even further.

Even though bootstrapped versions are circulating on decentralized exchanges, there is still no official Morocco team token.
France’s quarterfinal:
France made hard work but eventually overcame England in the expected difficult match. The defending champions are only one win away from a repeat final appearance and must be backing themselves against the underdog team to get the job done.

The France fan token FRA is not affiliated with the French national team: so it may be unsurprising that the price saw only a shallow pump following the team’s win over England.
Semifinal Prediction
Another favorite facing a surprise team, and prediction markets have France as the clear favorite to make it to the final:
But Morocco have provided too stern an opponent for two European powerhouses and won’t fear facing their former colonial power. This could be another hot-headed affair, but surely, France will get the job done. Or will they?
Quarterfinal 1: Croatia vs Brazil
Croatia
Results:
Last tournament's runner-up Croatia reached the quarterfinals despite winning only one of their four matches after 120 minutes. In the Round of 16, Croatia beat Japan on penalties. Goalkeeper Livakovic saved three penalties to send his team to the next round. Amazingly, Croatia has played extra time in six of their last seven tournament knock-out matches, a streak dating back to 2016.

The Croatia fan token VATRENI is named after the squad's nickname: "the fiery ones." Even though Croatia has performed quite respectably at the World Cup, the price of VATRENI has barely budged over the last month. Maybe an upset win against Brazil could do the trick?
Star player:
Croatia's star player is undoubtedly Luka Modric. The Real Madrid midfielder carried his team to the final in 2018 and won the Ballon D'Or for best player in the world that season. At 37 years of age, this could be his last major international tournament.
Brazil
Results:
The tournament favorite Brazil has made light work of its first four opponents: after playing themselves into form in the group stages, Brazil crushed South Korea in the Round of 16 and looks poised to go deep. The team is gearing for its sixth World Cup, the first after a 20-year dry spell.

Croatia will have its work cut out to keep the mighty Brazilian attack at bay. If the last tournament's runner-up eliminates Brazil in this match, it would go down as one of the biggest upsets in World Cup history.

Quarterfinal 2: Netherlands vs Argentina
Netherlands
Results:
After a labored start to their World Cup campaign, the Netherlands are looking to kick into next gear. They beat the United States 3-1 in a professional performance in the Round of 16 and will play Argentina in a rematch of the 2014 semifinal, which Argentina won on penalties. The Netherlands are a record three-time runners-up and chasing their first World Cup title.

Unfortunately, there is no Netherlands fan token.
Star player:
Among other names, young winger Cody Gakpo emerged as a surprise breakout star for the Netherlands in the group stages, as he scored the opening goal in all three group-stage matches. Facing the biggest opponent thus far, another clutch performance will be needed in the quarterfinals.
Argentina
Results:
Argentina bounced back from a shocking opening defeat against Saudi Arabia and has won three on the spin since. The two-time champion was in the final in 2014 for the last time when the tournament was played in Brazil. Argentina is also the reigning South America champion and chases its first World Cup in 36 years.

Quarterfinal 3: Morocco vs Portugal
Results:
Morocco is the surprise guest in the quarterfinals, and what a surprise it is! Buoyed by their 20,000 fans in the stands, the Morocco team eliminated Spain on penalties, not even conceding a goal in the shootout. Morocco is the only team that has not conceded a goal from an opposition player, with the only goal against being an own goal!

There is no Morocco fan token, but there is a Spain fan token, SNFT. The eliminated Spanish team saw their fan token plunge in value even more.
Star player:
Achraf Hakimi is the star of this underdog side. The Chelsea player converted the final penalty with an audacious “Panenka,” chipping the ball into the goal and sending the fans in the stands wild. It is Morocco’s first World Cup quarterfinal ever.
Results:
Portugal made light work of their group before delivering a beatdown in the Round of 16, crushing Switzerland by six goals to one. The Portuguese team has never made the final of a World Cup but will be favoring its chances with only two more wins to go.

Quarterfinal 4: England vs France
England
Results:
England shook off a poor preparation for the tournament and convincingly won three of its first four matches. The 1966 champions have disappointed many times, but after finishing runner-up in the 2021 EURO, a talented England side is tipped by many to have what it takes to go all the way. It will face its first stern test by playing the 2018 champion France.
