About Helix

What Is Helix?

Helix is a decentralized exchange (DEX) with unlimited cross-chain crypto assets and perpetual markets. Traders can engage in spot and perpetual markets, with a frontrunning-resistant order book for stop-loss and take-profit orders. The exchange boasts zero gas fees, low taker fees, and competitive maker fee rebates to offer a competitive trading experience. It also allows transferring assets from the Ethereum and Cosmos networks to trade unique markets that are not available on other exchanges.

Everything on the exchange is conducted on-chain: from trade execution to order matching, transaction settlement, and incentive distribution. The main differences to a centralized exchange include:

  • Public information storing, including untriggered stop/take orders in the mempool.
  • Data stored on-chain is kept minimal due to performance reasons. It reflects only the current state.
  • Fast block times mitigate front-running issues.
  • Execution order is added to the mempool and executed once the block is committed, at which point the transactions happen instantly.

The Convert option allows traders to execute token swaps in a matter of seconds, allowing for a seamless trading experience. Moreover, Helix offers zero gas fees and is reportedly one of the fastest-growing exchanges on the market.
