This significant shift puts an end to 18 months of monetary recession for Ethereum, which up to now had been destroying some of its units by burning transaction fees.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The engine behind this turn is the reduction in transaction fees enacted by Dencun. By making ETH transfers up to 4 times less expensive, this upgrade has mechanically reduced the amount of Ethereum crypto, thus relaunching the overall net issuance.
