With each iteration, ArbOS evolves to incorporate new core technologies, contributing to the scalability and robustness of Arbitrum chains.</p><p>The introduction of Ethereum Dencun to Arbitrum through ArbOS 20 “Atlas” brings several key benefits to developers and users alike. Notably, it significantly reduces Ethereum L2 transaction costs by introducing innovative features such as Blob posting, storage optimizations, and memory copying enhancements. These improvements streamline transaction processing and pave the way for a wide range of new use cases on Arbitrum.</p><p>Moreover, ArbOS 20 “Atlas” has undergone rigorous auditing and approval processes by the Arbitrum <a href="https://blockchainreporter.net/glossary/decentralized-autonomous-organization-dao/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">DAO</a>, ensuring its reliability and security for all DAO-governed chains. Additionally, self-governed Orbit L2 roll-up chains can independently deploy ArbOS 20 to access the benefits of Ethereum Dencun support.</p><h2 id="header-1">Arbitrum Embarks on Next Phase</h2><p>In anticipation of the upcoming changes, Arbitrum is set to implement additional gas fee reductions for Arbitrum One by March 18, 2024.
