$DOGE Jumps 17% as Meme Coin Sector Rebounds
$DOGE gained more than 17% over the past week as the broader meme coin category showed signs of recovery. The move pushed Dogecoin above $0.15 for the first time since early December before a recent pullback to $0.146.
The rally coincided with positive inflows for newly launched #DOGEETFs, which attracted $3.9 million across Jan. 2 and 5 trading sessions.
$BTC climbed to nearly $95,000 during the same period, providing tailwinds for riskier crypto assets.
The #memecoin category gained more than 24% on the week, with
$PEPE surging 56% and
$SHIB adding 27%. Both tokens outperformed major cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and
$ETH, which posted 4.8% and 9.2% gains, respectively.
$SOL-based tokens
$BONK and
$PENGU rose 52% and 41%, respectively, during the timeframe. Activity metrics on Solana began shifting positively after declining through the final months of 2025.
