#Polymarket Introduces Fees on 15-Minute #CryptoBets


Polymarket has introduced taker-only fees on its 15-minute crypto prediction markets without formal announcement. The platform updated documentation sections covering trading fees and maker rebates to reflect the policy change.


Fees apply exclusively to short-duration markets where users bet on whether $BTC, $ETH, $SOL, and $XRP prices move up or down over 15-minute intervals. Most other Polymarket markets remain fee-free under the updated structure.


Collected fees are redistributed daily in $USDC to liquidity providers rather than flowing to the protocol. Fee amounts vary based on market odds, reaching peak levels when prices sit near 50% probability before declining toward zero as odds approach 0% or 100%.
