#TrendResearch Buys 46K $ETH, Now 3rd Largest Institutional #Ethereum Holder


Trend Research purchased 46,379 $ETH on Wednesday to raise its holdings to approximately 580,000 ETH, vaulting the private company into the top tier of institutional Ethereum (ETH) holders.


Only two publicly listed companies currently report larger $ETH balances. SharpLink Gaming holds 859,853 ETH, while #BitMine Immersion Technologies possesses 4,066,062 ETH, making Trend Research one of the largest known holders despite not appearing in most public treasury rankings.


The company is a secondary investment institution associated with LD Capital founder Jack Yi, who has directed a series of large $ETH purchases beginning in October, according to blockchain records. A machine translation of Yi's Thursday post on X states his company is preparing another $1 billion to continue buying #Ethereum as he urged traders not to short.


Lacie Zhang, research analyst at Bitget Wallet, saidtold that companies buy $ETH during downturns to transform passive treasuries into productive, yield-bearing infrastructure. Corporate accumulation differs from retail buying as it often represents a strategic play for network dominance rather than simple price speculation.
