CoinEx Research chief analyst Jeff Ko expects liquidity to concentrate in established crypto next year, leaving most #altcoins behind. Retail investors anticipating broad market rallies will likely face disappointment as capital flows become increasingly selective.


Ko predicts no traditional altseason will materialize in 2026. Instead, only blue-chip survivors with genuine adoption will attract meaningful liquidity flows. The shift reflects a maturing market where speculative capital no longer lifts all assets indiscriminately.


Modest global liquidity tailwinds are expected in 2026, tempered by divergent central bank policies across major economies. $BTC historical sensitivity to M2 money supply growth has diminished since the 2024 ETF launches, with correlation weakening substantially. Ko's base case projects #Bitcoin reaching $180,000 by 2026.


Veteran futures trader Peter Brandt offers a contrasting view, forecasting another extended bear market ahead. Over 15 years, $BTC has experienced five parabolic advances on a logarithmic scale, each followed by declines of at least 80%. Brandt believes the current cycle remains incomplete.
