$BTC for approximately $15.2 million, strengthening its position as the sixth-largest corporate
$BTC holder globally. The purchase was executed at an average price of $111,666 per coin.
The latest acquisition brings Metaplanet's total #cryptocurrency reserves to 20,136
$BTC, representing a cumulative investment of roughly $2.08 billion at an average cost basis of $103,196 per token. This strategic accumulation places the company behind only MicroStrategy, Marathon Digital, and three other major institutional holders.
According to BitcoinTreasuries tracking data, Metaplanet now ranks sixth worldwide among publicly traded corporations holding
$BTC reserves. MicroStrategy maintains its leadership position with 636,505
$BTC in corporate treasury holdings.
CEO Simon Gerovich announced the purchase through social media channels, emphasizing the company's continued bullish stance on the world's largest digital asset. The firm has demonstrated a consistent commitment to its #treasury strategy despite market volatility affecting share prices.
