#Robinhood Closes $200M #Bitstamp Deal for Global Expansion


#Robinhood has completed its $200 million cash acquisition of Luxembourg-based #crypto exchange Bitstamp.


The deal adds over 50 licenses and registrations across Europe, the U.K. and Asian markets.


Bitstamp serves over 5,000 institutional clients with $95 million in annual revenue.


Integration has begun with Bitstamp connected to Robinhood Legend and Smart Exchange Routing systems.


The company also agreed to acquire Canadian platform WonderFi for $179 million in May.


Tokenization of real-world assets, including private equities, represents Robinhood's next strategic focus.


CEO Vladimir Tenev believes crypto tokenization could enable investments in firms like #OpenAI and SpaceX.
