#XRP Lobbyist Tricked Trump Into Reserve Announcement, Reports Politico

U.S. President Donald Trump was reportedly manipulated by a Ripple-linked lobbyist into announcing $XRP would be part of his planned national cryptocurrency reserve.

According to Politico, an employee of pro-Trump lobbyist Brian Ballard provided text for a social media post promoting $XRP, $SOL, and $ADA.

The revelation reportedly infuriated #Trump, who allegedly felt "used" after learning about Ripple's connection to Ballard.

Despite this incident, Trump signed an executive order creating a "Digital Asset Stockpile" days later.

Ripple's Chief Legal Officer donated over $300,000 to Trump's campaign and the company contributed $5 million in $XRP to Trump's inaugural #fund.
