Democrats took both chambers of Congress on Tuesday, and $BTC answered with a round trip: a dip below $76,000 as results came in, then a rebound to $78,300 and a push above $80,000 by Wednesday. The CLARITY Act stalled 49–50 in the Senate in September and now needs votes from the party that just won, while spot $BTC ETFs have shed $1.16 billion in three sessions. The dominant read is "headwind for policy, not for price." As LedgerLogic frames it, Congress changes how fast legislation moves, but headlines alone don't set Bitcoin's direction — the test is whether $BTC holds $80K. Bellezza lands in the same place: a slower CLARITY path matters for institutions, yet the recovery from under $76K suggests the political risk was largely priced in. The sharpest breakdown comes from Lost Satoshi, who weighs likely headwinds (slower bills, more oversight) against possible tailwinds (a durable bipartisan framework, a tax bill) and notes the move was about 1.7% versus the 1.8% priced in. The pushback comes from CGT Robot, who argues one price jump proves nothing until regulatory decisions are made and the move is confirmed by volume. With committee chairs and the next CLARITY draft unknown, is the market's shrug a verdict or just a pause?
