This delisting will take effect on April 16, 2025, and will impact tokens such as Badger DAO (BADGER), Balancer (BAL), and Beta Finance (BETA). This decision highlights Binance’s commitment to maintaining a strong platform by involving its user base in governance decisions.
The firm has established a step-by-step schedule for the delisting procedure: Support for mining pools and futures contracts will end on April 14, 2025, followed by the termination of margin trading and flexible loan services on April 15, 2025. From April 16, 2025, all spot trading pairs for the affected tokens will be removed, and deposits will no longer be credited. Withdrawals of these tokens will be discontinued on June 9, 2025. Users should take necessary actions before these deadlines to avoid potential losses. Binance has mentioned that any remaining balances in these tokens may be converted into stablecoins after June 10, though this conversion is not guaranteed.
Binance, a leading cryptocurrency trading platform, facilitates over $76 billion daily trades and serves over 90 million users globally. It is recognized for its innovative features and community-driven governance. The platform adapts to market changes and regulatory requirements while maintaining user trust through careful internal reviews.
The “Vote to Delist” initiative, launched by Binance in March 2025, empowers users to vote on which tokens should be removed from the platform, reflecting the exchange’s commitment to transparency and community engagement. Users needed a verified account and a minimum of 0.01 BNB to participate. Over 24,000 participants cast 103,942 votes, with Binance verifying entries before finalizing results. While community input was essential, the platform also conducted thorough reviews of each project based on factors like development activity, trading volume, network stability, and regulatory compliance to ensure only high-quality tokens remain.
