October is stacked with growth catalysts for the <a href="https://markets.coinpedia.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">crypto markets</a>, and in bullish periods, meme coins often perform best.
With that in mind, this article provides seven meme coins to buy this month with 10x potential.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-pepe-unchained-nbsp">Pepe Unchained&nbsp;</h2>
Pepe Unchained is the first Pepe-themed meme coin with its own Ethereum layer 2 blockchain.
The project is currently undergoing a presale, which has raised over $16.8 million and is causing huge excitement. It’s one of the hottest presales on the market, which reflects a strong investor appetite and could well translate into 10x gains once it launches on exchanges.
‘Pepe Chain’ is a blockchain built on top of Ethereum with faster speeds and lower fees. It will have features like a dedicated Ethereum bridge, a block explorer, staking, a decentralized exchange, and more.
The blockchain will focus on meme coins and meme coin-related apps, carving a unique position inside the Ethereum ecosystem. The Pepe Unchained team also recently announced they’re running a developer grant program, which will pay people to launch projects on the blockchain.
Currently, investors can <a href="https://coinpedia.care/b_pepeunchained-en_98081?referrer=7-best-meme-coins-to-buy-this-october-for-10x-gains" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">buy Pepe Unchained</a> at presale for $0.0099. However, this will rise throughout the campaign, with the next increase in one day.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-moodeng">MOODENG</h2>
MOODENG has been on fire this week. It’s a Solana-based meme coin inspired by a viral two-month-old hippo from an open zoo in Thailand.
According to its website, MOODENG is an unofficial fan token of the now-famous hippo, but very little more is revealed. Yet, like Pepe Unchained, MOODENG has seen notable investor interest, soaring over 196% in the past week alone.&nbsp;
It is currently priced at $0.2306 and holds a $227 million market cap.
This underscores the explosive nature of meme coins, which can amass significant valuations without utility or any apparent purpose. For MOODENG to be 10x, it would reach approximately a $2.2 billion market cap. Should the Moo Deng meme continue gaining pace, gains of this magnitude are certainly possible in the crypto bull market.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-flockerz-nbsp">Flockerz&nbsp;</h2>
Flockerz is a new bird-themed meme coin that has gained significant traction this week.&nbsp;
The project is creating a new framework for blockchain governance under the term “Vote-to-Earn.” This means that $FLOCK holders can vote on every important decision relating to the project’s future, including managing its finances. And for doing so, they’ll receive $FLOCK tokens for free.
It’s a concept that encourages ecosystem participation while better-aligning user interests with the project’s success.
Flockerz is currently undergoing a presale and has raised $340K so far. Those who buy in the presale can also stake their tokens to compound their investment.&nbsp; Currently, Flockerz staking offers a staggering 7,000% APY, but this will decrease over time. Meanwhile, the <a href="https://coinpedia.care/b_flockerz-en_120971?referrer=7-best-meme-coins-to-buy-this-october-for-10x-gains" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">$FLOCK presale</a> price will gradually increase, so prospective buyers should act fast.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-mfercoin">Mfercoin</h2>
mfercoin is a Base-native meme coin that saw a surge in activity this week. While a lot of meme coins are at breakeven or red, mfercoin has risen by 110%. The project is a Base-native meme coin, but the team’s track record extends long before Base launched.
They first launched an NFT collection called mfer on the Ethereum blockchain in 2021, and a portion of the mfercoin supply was airdropped to these holders, providing the token with a solid community from the start.
Base meme coins have collectively experienced significant price rallies this week, with Degen (Base) being a top gainer, pumping 83% today.
However, mfercoin’s track record sets it apart from other Base tokens and helps cultivate a unique narrative that is difficult for other projects to replicate.
mfercoin has a $29 million market cap and is the fourth-largest meme coin on Base. This certainly provides room for a 10x gain.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-crypto-all-stars">Crypto All-Stars</h2>
Crypto All-Stars is a unified staking app for meme coins.
The project will let you stake Dogecoin, Shiba Inu, Pepe, Floki, Bonk, and many more meme coins for passive $STARS rewards. It’s a compelling concept that brings DeFi principles to the joke token sector.
The team has set aside 25% of the supply for meme coin staking rewards and another 25% for $STARS staking rewards. But here’s where it gets interesting: users must hold $STARS to stake other meme coins, meaning holders of all the top joke tokens will be interested in buying it. This could equate to significant demand.
Currently, Crypto All-Stars is undergoing a presale, having raised $1.9 million so far. Given its early stage and robust use case, there’s every chance it can 10x after launching on exchanges. The current <a href="https://coinpedia.care/b_cryptoas-en_111509?referrer=7-best-meme-coins-to-buy-this-october-for-10x-gains" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Crypto All-Stars presale</a> price is $0.0014769, but this will rise in two days.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-memebet-token-nbsp">Memebet Token&nbsp;</h2>
Memebet is a crypto casino that targets the meme coin sector.
Crypto gambling is a huge industry, with the sector’s total market cap at $404 million. However, it’s even bigger in terms of revenue, with market leader Rollbit generating over $1 million throughout the past 24 hours alone.
But what happens when you merge the profitable GambleFi sector with the $50 billion meme coin industry? That’s what Memebet Casino is finding out.
It will have thousands of casino games and sportsbook events on which users can wager meme coins. This innovative concept provides an alternative utility to meme coins, which could attract more users to the sector.
Memebet is also undergoing a presale and has raised $350K so far. As the only meme coin casino on the market, the project has a standout narrative that could attract a lot of interest as word starts to spread.
Today, investors can <a href="https://coinpedia.care/b_memebet-en_116886?referrer=7-best-meme-coins-to-buy-this-october-for-10x-gains" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">buy Memebet token</a> for $0.0255, but this price will rise in two days.
<h2 class="wp-block-heading" id="h-billion-dollar-cat-runes">BILLION•DOLLAR•CAT (Runes)</h2>
BILLION•DOLLAR•CAT (Runes), which uses the ticket BDC, is a meme coin on Bitcoin’s Runes protocol.
For those who don’t know, Runes is a token standard that allows the creation of fungible tokens on the Bitcoin network.
Runes is an improvement on the earlier Ordinals token standard, which also gained traction as a popular way to create meme coins on Bitcoin. However, Runes is more efficient than Ordinals, making creating and managing tokens easier.
Returning to BDC, it’s the third-largest meme coin on Runes and the largest cat-themed meme coin. Throughout this list, we’ve had meme coins inspired by a frog, hippo, bird, and a stickman&nbsp; - meme coins are no longer just about Shiba Inus.
However, the cat-themed narrative has shown particular strength recently, with the largest token, Popcat, surging 81% this month to a $988 million market cap.
Meanwhile, BDC has a $42 million market cap and access to Bitcoin’s $1.2 trillion liquidity, which presents significant growth potential.
