Financial markets are once again in the spotlight ahead of the 2026 U.S. midterm elections, as investors in cryptocurrencies closely monitor the possibility of policy and economic shifts. The result may affect consumer confidence, and President Donald Trump's political backing is being put to the test.

The election could result in two scenarios of political outcomes with different consequences for investor confidence and expectations regarding financial markets.
