<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-why-are-relay-transactions-delayed-after-the-binance-hack-span-span">Why Are Relay Transactions Delayed After the Binance Hack?</h2>
The Relay Protocol Binance Hack response is now slowing some cross-chain activity. On November 2, Relay told users that certain transactions and routes may see pauses or delays.&nbsp;
The cause is a set of steps meant to stop funds stolen in the <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/binance-hack-fbi-north-korea-stolen-ethereum-update" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Binance hack</a> from moving through its network.

In its&nbsp;<a href="https://x.com/RelayProtocol/status/2117278194554253598?s=19" style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255)" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">official X post</a>, Relay said no action is needed from users. This Relay Protocol security update also points anyone with a transaction question to its support team.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-why-does-the-relay-protocol-binance-hack-response-cause-route-delays-span-span">Why Does the Relay Protocol Binance Hack Response Cause Route Delays?</h2>
Relay said it uses multiple layers of risk and compliance screening to block addresses tied to the hacker. That Relay risk screening is the stated reason behind the Relay Protocol transaction delays.
The team is working with Binance, law enforcement, and security groups across the ecosystem. Because the <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/binance-security-incident-coverage-jump-withdrawals-reopen-date" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Binance hack investigation</a> continues, Relay said it can share little for now. The post did not name affected chains or asset pairs. It also gave no date for lifting the restrictions.
Relay added that everything moving through its system is onchain and traceable. It said protecting the industry from bad actors is part of the job, and it stands by the steps.
<h3 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-does-the-relay-protocol-binance-hack-status-page-show-restricted-routes-span-span">Does the Relay Protocol Binance Hack Status Page Show Restricted Routes?</h3>
The&nbsp;<a href="https://status.relay.link/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">Relay status page</a> showed the service as fully operational on November 3. It did not list restricted routes. So the exact scope of the Relay Protocol route delays is not publicly itemized yet.

<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-how-did-binance-hack-stolen-funds-reach-relay-span-span">How Did Binance Hack Stolen Funds Reach Relay?</h2>
Binance lost about $6.3 billion on October 29 in what is described as the largest crypto hack on record. The FBI has linked the attack to TraderTraitor, a <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/north-korea-binance-hack-funds-frozen-coinjoin-mixing" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">North Korea</a> tied group, and shared Binance hacker wallet addresses.
Elliptic has verified about $2.85 billion as frozen or seized. That is roughly 44% of the $6.43 billion it counts as stolen. Its count leaves around $3.28 billion in traced wallets, so the Binance hack stolen funds are still a live tracking problem.
<h3 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-what-do-onchain-trackers-say-about-the-relay-route-span-span">What Do Onchain Trackers Say About the Relay Route?</h3>
Lookonchain reported on November 1 that a wallet tied to the hack moved 486,970 SOL, worth about $46.4 million, and <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/tag/bitcoin" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">swapped it for Bitcoin</a> through Relay. It later cited a larger conversion of 970,522 SOL, valued near $95.9 million. Cross-chain swaps can involve several steps, so these figures are tracker estimates.
Another analyst, SomaXBT, estimated that about $242 million moved through Tron in two days. Of the funds that left Tron through bridges, Relay handled about $48 million. THORChain handled $44 million, Chainflip $32.1 million, and Symbiosis $16 million. These are analyst estimates, not figures confirmed by the services.
Public onchain fund tracking makes the Relay Protocol Binance Hack trail visible. Stolen crypto funds tracking relies on open wallet data, which investigators and analysts can follow in near real time.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-could-crypto-compliance-screening-slow-regular-users-too-span-span">Could Crypto Compliance Screening Slow Regular Users Too?</h2>
Bridges and swap routes use the same contracts for every user. Crypto compliance screening at that layer can add checks for ordinary transfers as well, which may explain why some users notice delays. That is analysis, not a confirmed Relay statement.
The Relay Protocol Binance Hack notice does not say how many transactions are on hold. Its&nbsp;<a href="https://support.relay.link/en/" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">support center</a> remains the channel for transaction-specific questions.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-expert-take-what-could-change-next-for-relay-span-span">Expert Take: What Could Change Next for Relay?</h2>
The data suggests the Relay Protocol Binance Hack response trades some speed for tighter control. Crypto transaction monitoring now sits at the center of its response, and blockchain security teams are working in parallel across the ecosystem.
Two numbers stand out: the roughly $48 million Relay reportedly handled on Tron and the $2.85 billion frozen or seized so far. The main uncertainty is which routes are restricted and for how long. Another is whether the attackers keep shifting to other networks, as tracker data on Solana swaps suggests.
A further Relay Protocol update, new FBI wallet lists, or fresh freezes could change the picture. Wider <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-news-nov-3-bitcoin-ethereum-price-fear-index-us-midterms" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">crypto latest news</a> around the case may show whether other bridges adopt similar screening.
<h2 id="span-span-style-font-size-16px-conclusion-span-span">Conclusion</h2>
The Relay Protocol Binance Hack story is still developing. Relay confirmed delays tied to blocking stolen funds, yet it gave no route list or timeline.&nbsp;
Tracker data shows the laundering attempts, while official recovery figures keep changing. New <a href="https://www.coingabbar.com/en/crypto-news-english" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow">cryptocurrency news</a> on freezes and law enforcement updates will clarify how long the screening stays in place.
