Strategy acquired another 811 BTC and used some of its cash to buy back preferred STRC shares. The latest weekly purchase follows the trends of small BTC additions, while attempting to support STRC.
Strategy acquired 811 BTC at an average price of $80,846 per BTC, accumulating the coins between October 26 and November 1. As of November 2, the average acquisition cost of Strategy is $75,451 per BTC, putting the company with a slight unrealized gain based on current market prices.
The small BTC acquisition did not affect the market significantly, as BTC was seeking support at around $77,000. Strategy resumed its BTC additions after skipping a week where only STRC shares were repurchased, as Cryptopolitan reported.
The latest weekly purchase set aside $65.5M from MSTR sales to buy BTC, with the rest set to improve the company’s balance sheet. In total, Strategy sold 1.17M MSTR common stock, valued at $164M based on its latest 8-k filing. The company has more than 18M authorized MSTR shares to issue for additional purchases.
MSTR traded at $130.51, establishing a relatively predictable price range without panic-selling. For now, the small weekly BTC acquisitions are not causing dilution fears. Strategy has positioned itself to benefit from an eventual BTC bull market, potentially turning MSTR into a multiplier.

Strategy remains the biggest corporate BTC holder, though active buying has been coming from Strive as well. Strive uses its own preferred stock model and has more than doubled its BTC holdings in the past three months. The activity of Strive, as well as the minor Strategy purchases still give hope for the BTC treasury model, signaling long-term confidence.
As of November 2, Strive acquired an additional 124 BTC at an average price of $80,526 per BTC. Strive used its SATS ATM facility for the first time. Unlike the SATA preferred stock, SATS have no target range and can be issued at a variety of prices. Strive has authorized $1B to be raised through SATS ATM issuance.

Strategy repurchases STRC preferred shares

Strategy’s concern is still its STRC preferred shares, which were widely used for raises in 2026.
In the past week, Strategy set aside $208.2M for STRC repurchases, a mix of newly raised funds and some of its cash reserves.
The support for STRC has led to a price recovery, putting the preferred shares above $99.

For now, Strategy has not sold new STRC, waiting for a period of stability and investment interest. In the past three months, STRC recovered by more than 10%, getting closer to its range above $100 and up to $101 that would eventually allow new issues.

Strategy reassures of over three years of cash reserves

Strategy’s Executive Chairman Michael Saylor reassured the market that the company held 3.3 years’ worth of cash reserves.
As of November 2, the company holds $4.9B in liquid USD assets, in addition to the 849,327 BTC.
Strategy has pushed to improve its balance sheet, becoming resilient even to another crypto winter. The total debt is still at around $6.17B, with 13,136B in obligations linked to preferred stock.
For now, Strategy has shown its playbook can survive and even afford to buy the dip on certain occasions. However, the company is still carrying a heavy set of obligations. Maturity dates for some of the company’s outstanding debt will arrive starting September 2025, with major maturities until 2032, setting the challenge of supporting the obligations for the long term.
