The Initia Network is back online after a security-related halt that began on 23 October 2026. In its latest posts, the team said the L1 and rollups are now online and operational, according to the official Initia announcement on X.

Bridges and exchanges are expected to resume transfers later the same day. This Initia Network recovery matters because activity on the chain, and exchange access to INIT, stayed restricted for several days.

What Did Initia Confirm About the Initia L1 Recovery?

Initia made three clear statements. The Initia L1 recovery is complete, and the interwoven rollups are running again.
The backing of AUSD0, USDC.n and WETH has been fully restored. A full post-mortem on the security incident and the response will arrive later this week.
Those are project claims about the Initia Network, not independent audits. Until the post-mortem lands, outside verification remains limited.

Are Initia Bridge Transfers and Exchange Transfers Resuming?

Not fully confirmed yet. The network said bridges and exchanges are "expected" to resume transfers later today. That is an expectation, not a completed event.

Exchanges had paused INIT earlier. Upbit suspended INIT deposits and withdrawals on the day of the halt, and Kraken paused them too.
At the time of writing, this article found no verified notice that either platform has reopened. Readers should check each exchange status page directly.
This is the key point for Initia bridge transfers and the exchange transfers: the network is live, but access depends on each bridge operator and exchange.

Why Are Initia WETH Withdrawals and AUSD0 Withdrawals Slower?

Initia added safeguards as transfers restart. Withdrawal times for LayerZero OFT versions of WETH and AUSD0 are now set to 24 hours. Noble USDC withdrawals follow an hourly rate limit.
In practice, Initia WETH withdrawals and Initia AUSD0 withdrawals will not clear instantly. Noble USDC withdrawal limits will also cap how much can leave per hour.
Initia called these steps precautionary. The Initia LayerZero OFT delay gives the team time to spot problems before large amounts move.

How Did the Initia Network Outage Begin?

Initia halted its L1 and rollups at 15:41:30 UTC on 23 October 2026. The project said it was working with security teams, validators and exchanges to measure the impact.
Media reports pointed to a flaw in MoveVM. An attacker reportedly created unbacked token balances and bridged about $2.7 million in assets to Ethereum. D2 Finance estimated $2.65 million left within about seven minutes, but Initia had not validated that figure.
Co-founder Ezaan Mangalji reportedly believes a newly discovered software flaw allowed the minting. These details come from secondary reports. The post-mortem should settle the exact cause and loss.

Expert Take: What to Watch After Initia Network Recovery?

The data suggests the network recovery is real but still early. Several signals will show whether the blockchain status is stabilizing:

Whether the promised post-mortem arrives on schedule and explains the root cause.

Whether exchanges reopen INIT deposits and withdrawals.

Whether the 24-hour delays and hourly USDC limits are eased or kept.

The main risk is trust. Bridge-linked incidents tend to raise questions about similar designs. The main uncertainty remains the final loss figure. INIT may also see higher volatility as exchanges reopen, a risk Upbit flagged during the pause.

Conclusion

This Initia network update shows the network is live again, with cautious limits on withdrawals. The next few days matter more than the restart itself.
Readers following Initia Network latest news should wait for confirmed exchange notices and the full post-mortem. Until then, wider cryptocurrency news can help put this incident in context.
