The Major Crypto Events This Week starts with the US midterms on November 3. Voters will decide control of Congress, and that matters for crypto rules.
Traders are also watching a shaky AI stock sector, rising oil prices, and a crowded US data calendar. Each event can shift risk appetite on its own. Together, they could move markets fast. Here is what to know and why it matters.

All 435 House seats and 35 Senate seats are on the ballot. Polls start closing at 6 PM ET. Crypto Rover reports that prediction markets give Democrats about a 70% chance of winning both chambers. That figure is an estimate, not a result.
The outcome matters because Congress writes the laws that shape crypto. A change in leadership can change which bills move forward and how fast. Investors often dislike uncertainty, so the US midterms may bring volatility before and after the results.

The CLARITY Act aims to set clearer rules for digital assets in the US. Clear rules help exchanges, builders, and investors plan ahead.
Crypto Rover reports that every Senate Democrat voted against advancing the bill in September. That vote does not decide the bill’s future.
If Democrats win more power, talks could get harder and slower. If the results are mixed, the path may stay unclear. For now, the bill’s status remains unsettled.

US Economic Calendar: Which Data Releases Could Move Crypto Prices?

Jobs and activity data shape what traders expect from interest rates. Strong data can support risk assets. Weak data can raise growth fears. Bull Theory expects ISM Manufacturing at 54.7 and ISM Services at 54.8. ADP is forecast near 65,000 jobs.
The October jobs report is expected to show 55,000 to 60,000 jobs, after only 29,000 in September. Unemployment is forecast at 4.2%. Michigan consumer sentiment is expected near 47.3, close to record lows.

About 20% of S&P 500 companies report this week, says The Kobeissi Letter. Apple is expected to post about $113.4 billion in revenue. Palantir, AMD, and Super Micro Computer also report. Investors will focus on sales, guidance, and AI spending plans.
AI stocks have already sold off. Weak guidance could add pressure. Crypto and tech stocks do not always move together, but a risk-off mood in one market can spill into the other.

Iran Conflict and Oil Prices

The Wall Street Journal reportedly says US officials have warned of a short, intense return to military action against Iran after the US midterms. This is a report, not a confirmed event.
Brent crude rose 13.6% in October to a six-month high of $117.64. Higher oil can push up inflation and weigh on growth. That can hurt risk-sensitive assets like crypto, though the effect varies.

The report expects rate hikes from Australia, Sweden, and the UK this week. The Bank of England may make its first hike of this cycle on Thursday at 7 AM ET. Five Fed speaker events are also scheduled, per The Kobeissi Letter.
Bull Theory says markets price in roughly an 80% chance of a Fed Rate hike in December. Market odds change often, and no decision has been made.

Market Outlook: Three Scenarios Crypto Investors Should Monitor

Timeline

November 2: Manufacturing data and tech earnings test the economy.

November 3: Midterm results begin to emerge.

November 4: ADP and ISM Services give new job and growth clues.

November 5: The Bank of England decides and jobless claims land.

November 6: The jobs report and consumer sentiment close the week.

Three scenarios

Stronger data: Solid jobs and earnings could support risk appetite.

Weaker jobs: Soft hiring could raise growth fears and hurt sentiment.

Iran escalation: Higher oil could add US inflation pressure.

Crypto reaction will also depend on liquidity, trader positioning, and news on individual assets.

Conclusion

The Major Crypto Events This Week blend politics, policy, data, earnings, and war risk. The US midterms may shape crypto law and market mood for months. Focus on official results and confirmed releases instead of predictions or social media claims.
