Of four reports filed while US desks were dark, the Binance withdrawal figure is the best supported; the rest rest on two or three.

The Withdrawal Figure Is the Best-Supported Number of the Night

Binance reopened withdrawals after its record hack and users pulled nearly $3.8 billion from the exchange within ten hours, a figure CryptoBriefing put at $3.8 billion while The Block counted $3.64 billion in net outflows over the same window. The two numbers are not identical, but they describe the same order of magnitude and the same ten-hour stretch, which is why the story sits at four independent publishers, the highest count of anything that moved overnight. That count includes Bitcoin.com News, Cointelegraph and Cointribune EN alongside the two outlets that generated the competing figures. A four-source floor does not resolve the gap between $3.8 billion and $3.64 billion, but it does mean the scale of the outflow itself, as distinct from its exact decimal, is about as well corroborated as overnight crypto reporting gets.

The 90 Percent Replacement Claim Rests On Fewer Independent Legs

Binance also said it has replaced roughly 90% of the $6.3 billion lost in the hack, a disclosure carried by three independent publishers including The Daily Hodl, The Guardian Blockchain and The Cryptonomist EN. That is a respectable spread, but one source behind it all remains the exchange itself describing its own balance sheet repair, which is a different kind of evidence to an outflow figure that two newsrooms measured independently. Nothing here suggests the 90% figure is wrong. It simply means the claim should be weighted as a company disclosure that multiple outlets reported, not as an outflow that multiple outlets separately calculated, and the two are not the same quality of evidence even when they sit next to each other in the same news cycle.

Two Unrelated Stories Share the Same Two-Publisher Floor

Away from the hack, two stories landed at the same corroboration level and nowhere near the first two. Opposition to OKX's tokenized stock product has grown to 50 corporate issuers objecting to having their shares represented on the platform without consent, with Nvidia and Nike named among them, a story carried by two independent publishers. Separately, Chinese authorities have called for crypto-related bribery to be added to the national anti-corruption target list, also carried by two independent publishers including BeInCrypto and crypto.news. Read together, they describe two different institutions, a crypto exchange and a national government, each drawing a harder line around how crypto intersects with things it does not control, equity ownership in one case and state enforcement in the other. Two publishers each is not thin enough to doubt, but it is thin enough that neither should be treated as settled in the way the withdrawal figure now is.

The Issuer Consent Question Is the One Worth Holding

Of the four, the OKX objections are the one to hold onto, because the hack numbers will eventually converge or get corrected and the China designation is a policy signal reporters will keep tracking, but 50 companies formally objecting to their shares being tokenized without agreement raises a structural question that outlasts any single balance sheet. Nothing in the reporting says how OKX intends to respond or whether other exchanges offering similar products face the same objections. What it does establish is that issuer consent, not just regulatory consent, is now an open dispute attached to tokenized equity products, and that dispute does not depend on how the Binance hack numbers eventually settle.

The overnight record has one figure corroborated by four independent publishers, one by three, and two resting on two apiece; treat the spread, not the loudest headline, as the measure of what is actually established.
